What are your hobbies?

I have many hobbies, but the five that have helped me grow as a person and as a professional, and
that reflect my multifaceted personality, are:

1. Yoga: I practice yoga and meditation but they are not just a hobby. They have become a path to my
healthy life. To keep up with my long-term goals, I need to take care of my health both physically and
mentally. Yoga lets me stay healthy physically and meditation helps me stay focused and keep my
mind calm.

2. Photography: This is one of my hobbies that help me enhance my creativity and let me present the
beauty of every little thing through my lenses be it the colour of nature, joy of chaos on street,
diversity of human beauty. Photography gives me the opportunity to showcase the uniqueness in
everything and creating pictures that tells a story.

3. Reading: Reading non-fictional book is one my strongest hobbies that teaches me compassion,
importance of hard work along with smart work. Learning from the experience of well-known people
through their wisdom and wellspring of inspiration helps me keep motivated and focused to
achieve my goals.

4. Video Games: Playing video games is one of the oldest hobbies that I have. Earlier it was a means
of entertainment but now I have started appreciating the skills that I have learned from playing
games like problem solving, storytelling, strategic thinking. I believe that I am a good driver, and I
give the credit to the racing games I played since I was a child.

5. Baking: Recently, I started baking. I have always enjoyed eating sweets, especially cake but I
wanted a much healthier option with less sugar. So, I started searching for recipe and started baking
cake at home using jaggery. And the happiness I get when I make something delicious
is very rewarding.

Extra-Curricular Activities?
My engagement in extracurricular activities has been diverse and impactful, reflecting my
commitment to leadership, community service, and sports. In school, I had the privilege of being the
class prefect, which instilled a sense of responsibility and leadership. Additionally, I served as the
captain of my inter-house sports teams, showcasing my dedication to teamwork and sportsmanship,
particularly in basketball at the school level.

Volunteer work has also been a significant part of my extracurricular involvement. I actively
participated in tree-planting initiatives within the school premises, contributing to environmental
sustainability. Additionally, I engaged in community service by visiting the city's slum areas,
collaborating with teachers to raise awareness about cleanliness and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,
emphasizing the importance of hygiene and community well-being.

Transitioning to college, I took on the role of class representative, demonstrating my ability to

represent the interests of my peers. Furthermore, under the guidance of Dr. A.K. Sinha, I led a group
of 25 students in an outreach program to Ormanjhi village. This experience allowed me to apply my
leadership skills in a real-world setting, contributing to community development initiatives.

In summary, my extracurricular activities span leadership roles, sports achievements, and impactful
volunteer work, all of which have shaped my character, fostered teamwork, and instilled a sense of
social responsibility. These experiences have not only enriched my academic journey but also
allowed me to make meaningful contributions to both my school and local community.

Awards/ Medals?
During my 15 years in school, maintaining a perfect attendance record was a personal achievement
that spanned 7 years. This consistent commitment to attending classes reflected not only my
dedication to education but also a strong sense of responsibility and discipline. It was not just about
showing up; it was about valuing the learning experience and making the most of every opportunity.

In addition to my attendance record, I received the Star Certificate twice, highlighting my exemplary
behaviour, outstanding performance, positive attitude, and responsible care of personal belongings.
These certificates served as meaningful recognitions of my efforts beyond academics. They reflect my
commitment to fostering a positive and respectful environment, both within the classroom and the
broader school community.

Achievement in sports?
During my time as the captain of my team in the inter-house games tournament, I experienced
significant achievements and personal growth. Leading the team through two victories and securing
the runner-up position in the third instance was a testament to our collective efforts and teamwork.

Being at the helm of the team not only provided me with a platform to showcase my leadership skills
but also allowed me to foster a sense of unity and camaraderie among the players. It was a dynamic
experience that went beyond the thrill of competition; it was about motivating and bringing out the
best in each team member.
In essence, my achievements in sports, particularly as the team captain, not only reflect the success
of our collective efforts but also underscore the significant role sports played in shaping my
leadership skills and character.

Achievement in academics?
Receiving the Certificate of Merit three times from the school attests to my consistent dedication and
exemplary academic performance. These certificates highlight not only my high grades but also my
genuine passion for learning and active participation in class. They serve as tangible
acknowledgments of my commitment to academic excellence, motivating me to continue pushing
my intellectual boundaries and strive for continuous growth.

Strengths and Weakness?

My strengths are:

1. Delegation: In numerous college academic projects, I took on the role of a group leader, where my
strength in delegation shone. For instance, during the final year project on Problems of Street
Vendors in Ranchi City, I effectively assigned tasks, ensuring each team member played to their
strengths. This not only boosted overall team performance but also led to the project's successful
completion.

2. Analytical Thinking: As an Operations Executive, I applied analytical thinking to enhance efficiency.

Collaborating with stakeholders, I identified areas for improvement, implemented process
enhancements, and achieved cost savings. Detail oriented data analysis allowed me to identify
trends, and make informed decisions, leading to improved customer satisfaction and streamlined
operations.

3. Initiative: I consistently volunteered for leadership positions. In a notable instance, I was the
coordinator during an outreach program to Ormanjhi Village led by Dr. A.K. Sinha. Taking the
initiative, I coordinated with my team members and the faculty in logistical planning and execution,
ensuring everyone's efforts aligned with the program's goals. This experience highlighted my
leadership and initiative-taking capabilities in a real-world context.

My biggest weakness is:

Being overly meticulous and organized. I am a highly organized person in both my personal and
professional life. I prefer my files to be organized and labelled correctly. This meticulous nature has
occasionally led to deadline issues in the past, particularly during college projects, as I focused on
organizing every detail and file. However, I am actively working on finding a balance, and I believe
that this weakness has ultimately helped me manage my time and projects more effectively in my
professional environment.

What new skills have you developed in the recent past?

Spoken English: In the past two years, I have actively worked on enhancing my spoken English skills.
Recognizing the importance of effective communication, I dedicated time to learning and practicing
English. Additionally, I pursued an operations job role to further strengthen my spoken
communication abilities in a practical setting.

Concentration: Another valuable skill I have developed is improved concentration. In response to the
challenges posed by the digital age and diminishing attention spans, I adopted meditation as a
practice. This has significantly boosted my concentration levels, allowing me to grasp information
more efficiently and perform tasks with heightened focus.

What are your goals in life and how MBA going to help you achieve them?
Goals in Life:

I pursued commerce due to my fascination with navigating the business landscape and applying real-
world concepts learned in business studies and economics. Driven by an early interest in leadership,
my short-term goals include upskilling through an MBA to gain a holistic perspective on
management.

How MBA Will Help Achieve Goals:

1. Increased Understanding of Business Disciplines: An MBA provides a comprehensive education in

various business disciplines, including finance, marketing, management, and data science. This
knowledge equips me to make an immediate impact in my career, solving real business challenges
with a solid foundation in business education.

2. Enhanced Teamwork and Leadership Skills: MBA programs emphasize teamwork and leadership,
offering practical experience through group projects. Developing the ability to inspire and manage
teams during the MBA will directly contribute to my success in future management roles.

3. Stronger Communication and Persuasion Skills: Clear communication is paramount in business.

MBA programs, including dedicated classes on written and oral communication, will refine my ability
to convey ideas effectively. Strong communication and persuasion skills acquired during the MBA will
be invaluable in achieving professional success.

4. Deeper Critical Thinking Skills: The complex challenges of the business world require nuanced
solutions. An MBA will hone my critical thinking skills, enabling me to analyse and evaluate projects
with depth and precision. This ability to navigate complexity calmly and effectively will set me apart
in my future career.

In the long term, I aspire to leverage my MBA-acquired skills to secure a management role where I
can train professionals, utilize my leadership capabilities, and deliver impactful results for both
clients and the company. The reputation of this college for nurturing skilled professionals aligns with
my life goals, making it a pivotal stepping stone toward realizing my full potential.

State a challenging situation that you have encountered in your

personal/professional life and what were the two major lessons learnt?
Challenging Situation: Upon joining my job, I encountered the challenge of managing time and
maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The transition from having ample free time during the
COVID period, which allowed for pursuing hobbies and leisure activities, to a structured work
environment posed a significant adjustment.

Lessons Learned:

1. Prioritization is Key: The challenge taught me the importance of prioritizing tasks. By identifying
and focusing on high-priority assignments, I ensured that critical work was completed efficiently. This
approach not only enhanced my productivity but also allowed me to allocate time for other aspects
of my life.

2. Balance Through Task Management: I learned that effective task management is crucial for
maintaining a healthy work-life balance. By organizing and prioritizing my workload, I created a
structured routine that accommodated both professional responsibilities and personal interests. This
experience emphasized the significance of intentional planning and efficient time utilization in
achieving a well-rounded life.
