BLUE TEAM COPS INTRAORG DEFENDING CHAMP TITLE

The Blue Team treaded its way to victory after trouncing the Red, Green and Yellow teams during IntraOrg 2011 held at the UPLB campus last August 6. Continuing the pursuit to foster camaraderie and sportsmanship among the UPLB SELES family, the Sports Committee gave the annual activity a twist such that it was held like the reality TV game show The Amazing Race. The Head of the Sports Committee, Tito Pascual Jr, along with its members, prepared different activities on every station and ensured that the teams would not only be physically challenged, but also mentally and financially. Among the favorite stations of the teams were the uod station, hanapan-ngbanga/rest station, cooking station, findthe-paper-clip station, and beat-theSportsCom station. Blue Jabs aimed for the best and fortunately ranked 1sts at the end of the stations. All the sweat shed in this rigorous activity and my teams hard work really paid off, Justine Trisha Contreras, team leader of the new defending champion, said. Aside from the championship title, Blue Team also won for the best dessert award. Yellow Team won the best yell award, for their cheer: DiDilaw, Di-Di-Dilaw-law!... Green Team won the best banner award for their flag with Raymond Marqueses face painted on it. Red Team won the award for being the earliest in the 6:30 am call time set at DL Umali Hall steps. Overall, the Red, Green and Yellow teams ranked 4th, 3rd and 2nd places, respectively. The Sports Committee was thankful to all the members and alumni who participated in this activity. IntraOrg was again a success as it was able to showcase our fellow brods and sisses hidden talents while effectively enhancing sportsmanship and harmonious relationship with each other, Pascual said.

SportsCom readies members for EngMeet

The Sports Committee, led by Tito Pascual Jr., arranged a basketball practice for members at Los Baos National High School (LBNHS) court last August 10. The said practice also serves as volleyball, badminton and chess practices for the interested members. Many members still allotted time for the practice inspite of the invigorating IntraOrg. One of the highlights of the night is teaching SELES sisses the basics of the basketball game which include passing, dribbling, blocking and shooting. Grueling but highly stimulating, sisses played their practice game very competitively. In the end of the night, SELES members reacted positively as they expressed their desire for more practice games.
