Autobiography
• An autobiography is different to a biography because it is written in the first person, explaining
important events in their life. The subject may write about what has influenced them and include
details of their feelings during different experiences they have had.
• Autobiographies are primary historical sources of information
whereas biographies are secondary sources.

Sample- Autobiography on Myself
My name is Alex Johnson, and I was born on June 15, 2011, in the vibrant city of San Francisco.
Growing up in a bustling environment has shaped who I am today. I live with my parents and my little sister,
Mia, who always keeps our home lively with her playful spirit. From a young age, I developed a passion for
storytelling, often creating exciting tales about imaginary worlds and adventurous heroes. This love for
creativity sparked my desire to write an autobiography, as I wanted to share my unique experiences.
In elementary school, I discovered my love for science. I remember the first time I conducted a
science experiment in the school lab; it was a thrilling moment when I mixed vinegar and baking soda,
causing a fizzy eruption! This sparked my curiosity about the world around me. I joined the science club,
where I met friends who shared my interests. Together, we explored various topics, from space to
ecosystems, and even participated in a science fair. These experiences taught me the importance of

Sample – Autobiography on a Cat
My name is Whiskers, and I am a fluffy orange cat living in the sunny United Arab Emirates. I was
born in a cozy home in Dubai, where the sun shines brightly almost every day. My family loves to take me on
adventures, and I enjoy relaxing on the balcony, watching the busy city below. The tall buildings and colorful
markets are really interesting to me, and I often dream of chasing butterflies in the beautiful parks.
Every day is an exciting journey for me! My mornings start with a tasty breakfast of crunchy kibble
and a refreshing bowl of water. After I finish eating, I love to explore my backyard, where I can climb trees
and chase lizards. My favorite place is under the shade of a palm tree, where I can take a peaceful nap. In the

Sample – Autobiography on a school bag
My name is Benny, and I am a bright blue backpack. I have been on many adventures since the day I
was made. My journey began at a factory where I was sewn together with strong fabric and durable zippers. I
was excited to be filled with school supplies and taken to a new place. I have been a loyal companion to my
owner, Emma, since she bought me for her first day of school.
Throughout my life, I have carried many important items. Every day, I hold books, notebooks, and
colourful pens. I love when Emma packs me for field trips because I get to carry snacks and a water bottle
too! I have even been to the park, where I held a picnic blanket and a Frisbee. Each item I carry tells a story,
and I feel proud to be a part of Emma’s school life.
In conclusion, I am more than just a bag; I am a part of Emma’s daily adventures. I have seen her grow
and learn with every new school year. I hope to continue being her trusty backpack for many more years to
come. Each scratch and stain on me is a reminder of our fun times together, and I can’t wait for our future
adventures!
