Slot Machine is electronic gaming machine known as one armed bandits. It is used to call one-armed bandits because of having one arm or pull lever and it must be inserted by coins so that you can operate the machine. The first mechanical machine was invented by Charles Fey which is known as Fey Liberty Bell in 1895. The first machine to have fruits as symbols such as lemons, plums, and cherries on the known as the Operator Bell. The first electro- mechanical gambling machine was the 1935 animated horse racing machine called the PACESRACES. While the first mechanical electromechanical slot machine was developed in 1964 and was called the Money Honey. Today, players have many varieties of choices in slot machine with 3 or more reels. The parts of modern machine are reels, button, coin slot, start button, tower light, pay table, arm/pull lever. In game cycle, players must first insert credit/coins, next the player could BET, follow by initiating the game, after that the machine will process the game and lastly it will display the result whether you win or not. The Basic parts of Slot machine are power supply (AC/DC), microprocessor unit or the logic board, credit input or known as bill validator, players game input and reel unit/ video monitor unit.

We also discussed about Casino Management. The practice of marketing is part art, part science and part voodoo (magic). Its main target is to satisfy the needs, wants, expectations of the customers. The topics also discussed about the marketing objective; first is to satisfy the needs of the customers, 2nd is to ensure corporate health and profit of the company and lastly to outperform the competitors. Implementation of marketing strategies is based on the context of todays casino gaming.

We also learned security and safety management. The main objective of this seminar is to save the life not only of the customers as well as CASINO employees from any danger that could threaten their life. The 4 vital area we discussed are safety awareness, prevention of the outbreak of fire and

effective control of it, prevention and control of accidents and prevention and control of occupational health hazards. While the eight (8) Basic Principles of Safety (1) safety is everyones responsibility,(2) be safety conscious (3)make safety habit (4) working safety is a condition of employment (5) each employee is expected to give consideration to the prevention and injury to self and to co-workers;(6) involvement and thinking of all people in the safety process is valve and expected (7) continual improvement is the goal (8) individual and team must be recognized. We also discussed the Hazards and threats in gaming business, this are the following: Man Made Hazards: which is caused by human act due to negligence example of this are sabotage, bomb threats and fire on building. Natural Hazards: these are natural calamities or disasters, these are also known as Act of God. Example of this are forest fire, earthquakes, tornadoes, tidal waves, hurricanes and typhoons. As part of the security of Casino, the management had also install CCTV (Closed Circuit Casino) Camera in some area where people commonly found. CCTV refers to transmitting a signal to specific monitor.

2. In your own point of view, what are the strengths and opportunities you can gain from the Leisure, Sports and Amusement Management seminar at PAGCOR?

PAGCOR Seminar is an advantage to me because it gives me an overview about how PAGCOR operates. It gives me deep understanding and appreciation about PAGCOR, in the fact that knowing PAGCOR is a government owned gambling business, it also benefits the Tourism and Hospitality Industry and Charitable Intuitions. I learned from the experiences of my instructors because they also work at PAGCOR and some of them are dealers. They give us tips on how to be a good dealer and the benefits when you become a dealer. I also learned how to play slot machine and how it is enjoying when you played them especially when you are getting win in the play. Thats why I understand now why some people became addicted to slot machines. I also learned how to have self-control when playing all forms of gambling and the importance of being a responsible gambler. It is an opportunity to me to have PAGCOR seminar because it may help me when Im going to apply in one of vacant positions offered by PAGCOR, they will be known that I undertake their seminar. Aside from that, PAGCOR give me the chance to know what other job opportunities I can take when I graduate. I also learned in PAGCOR seminars, there future plans like construction of Integrated Resort that will be opened in 2020 and I think it will bring much employment for country. all hospitality students and would bring fame to ur

3. What are the important value have you learned in the seminar that you can apply in your chosen field of specialization? I learned the value of Time- management. As a dealer, you should be on time or before the scheduled time of the play, so that you should not bothered the customers for being late. Commitment is one of the important values I Learned from the seminar. I learned that dealers are rarely to have vacations even I in important holidays like Christmas and New Year, they are required to serve their customers. So if you have this kind of job, you must give all yourself and sacrifice all your personal needs and in the end you will also find your job enjoyable. I also learned the values of service. Service can be defined as an act or a variety of work done for others or an act of giving assistance to others. As a service provider you should meet or exceed the expectations of the customers. You should provide them satisfying and quality service in order for them to enjoy their stay. You should also provide them an extra added service like for example it is not part of your duty but since the customer needs your help you will take the initiative in order to solve their problem. I also learned the values of responsibility, as an employee you should do all your tasks and duties that is assigned to you, you finish all your tasks on time, and you should be responsible in all your acts as an employee and as a service provider.

4. What is your assessment in PAGCOR Seminar? PAGCOR Seminar helps the student to developed their knowledge about Casino gaming. They teach the student on what is the purpose and objective of a Casino, how and who operates the casino, what are the facilities and amenities that the Casino can provide and what are the varieties of games and activities they offer to the customers. PAGCOR also shows to the students the real situation that happens inside the CASINO (the interaction of customers and the dealers and other Casino management staff). They also teach the students the uses of Casino amenities such operating the slot machine. Personally, I have a great time roaming inside PAGCOR; I saw varieties of slot machines with varieties of games, game tables and other amenities. It really encourages the customer to play not only because of the jackpot prizes they offer but as well the physical appearance of the game. I think PAGCOR Seminar is one of the best activities for a Hospitality student because it provides basic knowledge and skills in Casino gaming that will help the student to have background information if they are planning to work in Casino.
