This 17-day program is designed for
teachers of Spanish at the Junior High or
High School level. Classes and all program
activities will be conducted in Spanish.
The course includes sixty (60) total contact
hours of instruction. The academic program
consists of one module of Foreign Language
Methodology focusing on strategies for
creatively presenting listening, reading,
writing and speaking materials, and one
content module focusing on the History
and Culture of the Southern Cone. Activities
outside of the classroom may include but
are not limited to the following: a visit to a
local Spanish language institutes to observe
instructional techniques, gathering realia
for classroom use, tango night, Argentine
cooking class, and visits to sites of cultural
and historical signicance in Buenos Aires.
Participants will choose between a two-star
hotel or a four-star hotel stay, with breakfasts
included. Participants are responsible for all
other meals.

language teaching experience and has authored eight textbooks. She has presented foreign language
