Hey, I have a question: What is the difference between reactive and proactive people?
Well, the answer is how they react to a situation. Reactive people are the ones who always seem
to be one step behind, constantly playing catch-up. They let their circumstances dictate their
actions instead of taking charge and shaping their world. Proactive people, on the other hand, are
in control of their lives.
I’ve lived as a reactive person, but looking back, I could've just done what was necessary
instead of evading the situation with an excuse. Maybe just facing yourself and the truth
separates the victors from the vanquished. To fix that, what I did was called mirror meditation,
where I looked at myself in the mirror and asked what I was scared of. I’m scared of
embarrassment, judgment, losing, and myself. I'll fix that because being scared of myself is like
running away from who I’m supposed to be. I learned that from a YouTube video. That fear
affected my choices, and I wish to have more time to choose the right answer, but it's the quick
choices that show who we are. There was this one time when I was in practice where I was
mid-air, and I had to choose between falling at my back or my front, and I chose to land at my
feet. That is the proactive version of me that made this choice. From now on, I’ll always be
happy with what comes, and hopefully, after these tough moments comes my glory.
