It was grandma’s birthday last night. My parents prepared the
dinner. Lucy and I decided to bake her a cake.
We followed the recipe from the Internet. Firstly, we added the
eggs, some flour, sugar, milk and butter in a bowl. Then, we mixed
them well. After that, we put the cake mixture into the over. ‘Great!
Everything went smoothly,” I said.
Now, all we needed to do was to wait. So we decided to play
board games. Suddenly, Lucy screamed, ‘we forgot the cake! It must
be burnt now!’ We rushed into the kitchen. The cake was still cold
and creamy. ‘We forgot to push the ‘START’ button!’ exclaimed Lucy.
Just then, the doorbell rang. They were grandma, Uncle John and
Aunt Macy. We told grandma what happened and she laughed. ‘That’s
ok. Let’s push the button now so the cake can be ready for dinner.’ In
the end, grandma decorated the cake with us and we had a lot of fun!
