NARRATIVE REPORT
The Alternative Learning System (ALS) is a parallel learning system in the
Philippines that provides a practical option for out-of-school children, youth, and
adults to complete basic education. The program is administered by the Department of
Education (DepEd) and is designed to be flexible and fit the needs of learners.
In Baranggay Adtuyon, Pangantucan, Bukidnon, the Community ALS Implementers
(CAI) together with their ALS teacher, conducted a literacy mapping to identify the out
-of-school children, youth, and adult and encourage them to enroll in Alternative
Learning System (ALS) located in their Baranggay. With the help of the Baranggay
officials, the literacy mapping was successfully done and a number of prospect learners
was recorded and enrolled by the assigned Community ALS Implementers (CAI) in the
area.
After the literacy mapping, a Division Community ALS Implementers Orientation was
conducted in Pangantucan Central Elementary School and was attended by three (3)
districts; Pangantucan North, South, and West district. The said orientation was
conducted to help the Community ALS Implementers (CAI) become more productive,
prepared, and knowledgeable enough about the responsibilities they were going to take
as a volunteer teachers.
Next, a face-to-face classes was conducted by the Community ALS Implementers
(CAI) that was attended by A&E Elementary level and Junior High School level
learners who are full of hopes that they could make their lives much better by
achieving their dreams with the help of Alternative Learning System (ALS) Program.
The Adtuyon Community Learning Center is located at crossing Lumagwas, Adtuyon,
Pangantucan, Bukidnon. In the face-to-face classes, a reading assessment, discussion,
cooking activities id being held. In addition, a practice test, reviews, and filling-out of
registration forms and other requirements is also being held in preparation of their
upcoming A&E test on February 2, 2025 at Kalilangan National High School.
In conclusion, I am looking forward to help and serve more out-of-school children,
youth, and adult in making their dreams come true and help the community become
professionally productive.
