This Package is based on the latest architectural drawing set as received on 01.10.2023
SBC 100 T/SQM soil parameters is considered as per geotechnical soil report.

1 Earth work
Excavtion is considered in this boq.
Back filling around RW and foundation is considered in this boq.
Retention system is not considered in this boq.

2 Plain & reinforced cement concrete works


PCC M10 of 100mm thick is considered below the bottom grade slab and foundation.

3 RCC
RCC flat slab system is considered for all floors.
Concrete in the slab all around the column for 600 mm width is considered of higher grade same as that of column below.
RCC Raft is considered for Core portion Area and RCC Isolated Footing is considered for remaining Area.
Grade slab of 200 mm thick is considered.
Retaining wall of 300 mm thick is considered.
Ramp beam of 1200mm height is considered.
Ramp slab of 300mm thick is considered.
RCC staircase with 200mm waist slab and landing is considered for entire building.
Fire Sump, RWT, OHT and LMR are considered in this boq as per Arch drawing
RCC columns are considered from Basement to terrace floor.
RCC parapet is considered for 4th,5th,6th floor and Terrace.
No elevation feautures is not considered in this boq.

4 Formwork
System formwork is considered for complete structure.

5 Structural Steel works


Structural steel Work for chiller platform at Terrace is considered in this BOQ.

6 Flooring works
VDF Flooring of 100mm thk screed is considered for parking area.
Serrated finish is considered for ramps.

7 Waterproofing works
HDPE Pressure sensitive, Pre-laid Fully Bonded Membrane waterproofing System is considered for foundation sides and bottom, grade
slab bottom and sub soil well
Crystalline Hydrophilic waterproofing system is considered for Fire Sump, RWT, OHT(Internal face).
Waterproofing Systems using elastomeric polyurethane membrane is considered for Retaining wall.
Dimple sheet is considered for the retaining wall.
Waterproofing by spray applied water based polyurethane built up membrane is considered for podium.
Waterproofing by Spray Applied Advance polyurathane membrane System is considered for terrace areas, refuge teraces.
Water based food grade epoxy resin wall finish is considered for OHT and Fire Sumps.
Waterproofing by cementitious Elastomeric Built up membrane systems is considered for wet areas like toilet, lift pits and
waterproofing for toilet walls is considered for a height of 1m.
Construction joint treatment is considered in this boq

8 Miscellaneous works
Subsoil drainage system is considered in this boq.
External Development Works such as compound wall, entrance portal, Transformer Yard, DG Yard, landscape related works etc., are not
considered in this BOQ.
Quantity for civil works related to services need to be filled by PHE consultants.
INSTRUCTIONS TO TENDER

The Schedule of Rate shall be read with all the other sections of this bidding document including
1 technical specification, preamble, general and special conditions of contract, safety requirements, EHS
norms etc.

The bidder is deemed to have studied the drawings, specifications and the details of work to be done

within the time schedule and should have acquainted himself with the conditions prevailing at site.

The OWNER reserves the right to interpolate or extrapolate the rates for any new items of work not
covered in the schedule of price from the similar items already available in the schedule of rates. All
the works shall be measured upon completion and paid for at the rate quoted and accepted in the
3 “Schedule of Price”. In case any activity though specifically not covered in schedule of rates
descriptions but the same is covered under scope of work/scope of supply/specification drawings etc.
no extra claim on this account shall be entertained, since schedule of price is to be read in conjunction
with all other documents forming part of the contract.

4 The Bidder to quote for all items and for all the quantities.
If the Bidder does not quote for any of the items, the highest rate quoted by any other bidder will be
5 applicable for evaluation, but lowest rate quoted by any other bidder shall be considered for payment
in case the job is awarded to the bidder.
All items of work mentioned in the Schedule of Rates shall be carried out as per the specifications,
drawings and instructions of OWNER/Engineer-in-Charge and the rates are deemed to be inclusive of
6 material, consumable, labour, supervision, testing, tools and tackles and detailing of
construction/fabrication drawings, wherever required as called for in the detail specification and
conditions of the Contract.
OWNER reserve the right to cancel/delete/curtail any item or group of work if necessary. Such a step

shall not be construed as reason for changing the rates.
8 Amount to be quoted in the nearest Indian Rupees only
The drawings included in the bidding document are for reference and general understanding of the
9 scope of work. Any variation in dimension, levels and details in working drawing shall not be reason by
any means for change in quoted rates.
This is an item rate tender and quantities are tentative. The Contractor's unit rates quoted shall not

change for any variation in quantities
11 Contractor to visit the site prior to quoting.

Suitable barigading, warning systems, signages, sand cushing. Multiple handling of materials shall be
12 taken into account in view of restricted area availabe for contruction. Extra claim for cost and time will
be not be accepted on account of failure to take into account the above factors prior to quoting.

Tests on materials shall conform to IS Specification and the test shall be carried out as directed either
13
at site Laboratory or at any approved test laboratory.
Please note that the power required for construction shall be arranged by contractor and shall be
14 included in the rates quoted. Bringing DG, temporary power, power distribution lines etc area all part
of the rates quoted.

The quantities shown against the items are only approximate & may vary to any extent individually. No

claim shall be entertained during the currency of this contract towards any items due to the above.

Material shall be of good ,approved ,acceptable quality & purchased from approved source; got

approved from engineer in charge prior to usage and meeting all relevant codal norms.
Work shall be carried out as per latest construction drawings, specifications & carried out to the

satisfaction of engineer-in-charge.

General Notes for all Excavation Items: Contractor shall take all required permissions from the appropriate authorities for
Excavation, Blasting, Carting away materials etc. and shall bear all the expenses for the same.
Rate shall include
1. Removal of all kinds of vegetation, small shrubs etc. If there are any shrubs, bushes, roots of the trees to be removed for
min depth 1.5m including all necessary permissions. The necessary approval shall be taken for removal of trees with the
consent of the clients if applicable. The contractor shall be fully responsible for liasoning with local authoritites, compliance
to all the statutory obligations, including all labour lanes in force, facilities, policies etc. towards all employees , labour and
under no circumstance nor any acting party pass on the responsiblitites of the contractor to the other contractor/clients.
2. Contractor shall get acquainted with site conditions, nature of soil and adopt suitable dewatering system as deemed fit for
the nature of soil and prevailing water table and water collected by runoff or rain needs to be disposed off from the site.
The rate shall include keeping the excavated surface dry till completion of the scope of work. Dewatered water/ Slush shall
be drained out by suitable means to places not objected by civic authorities. The contractor shall submit the method
statement for dewatering and the same shall be let out of the building premises through proper pipes & channels as
required.
3. The rate shall include necessary general shoring, strutting with approved timber/steel accessories wherever necessary as
approved by the Engineer-in-charge. Special soil retention systems like contiguous piling, soldier piling, soil nailing &
guniting, diaphargm wall etc., shall be paid separately .
4. Contour level to be taken jointly with the Project Manager and prior written approval be taken before starting any
excavation/ filling at every 3 / 5 mt grids for arriving at the actual quantity using simpsons rule. Cost to include all and
necessary royalty and other permission charges required to execute the works. The rate shall include all necessary setting out
of building, excavation line, barrication by grid/plot marking, survey by Total station, transfer of bench mark, etc., complete

6.The quoted rates includes seggregating of good quality excavated earth from the clay / silty soil and storing in designted
area for further treatment within the site premises for future landscape purposes including preserving top 300 mm layer of
existing soil to meet MOEF requirements.. No extra is payable towards double handling.
7. Quoted rates shall incldue the preparation of temporary access road and temporary drains, rerouting of existing roads,
supporting systems for existing MEP services if any and re-routing if required, etc. complete.
8. Carting away all types of excavated earth outside or within the site shall be included and environmental norms to be
followed for discarding excavated material with submission of document of proof.
9. Soil shall be classified as three types for billing purpose.
a.Classification under hard rock excavation item which requires chiselling with compressed air/mechanical
equipment's,controlled blasting, chemical splitting, diamond cutting etc. with necessary mechanical equipment's and loose
boulders which requires splitting and handling.
b. Classification under soft/medium/ weathered rock excavation item which is non poclainable, can be excavated using rock
breaker attachments to JCB/Poclain, manual chiselling, etc. and loose boulders removal without spliting etc.

c. Classification under soil excavation which is poclainable, can be excavated using JCB/Poclain etc.
10. Please note that the water and power required for construction shall be arranged by contractor and shall be included in
the rates quoted. Necessary bore wells , bringing water from tankers from outside, DG, temporary power, power distribution
lines etc are all part of the rates quoted.
11. The method statement shall include all safety features and protection to workmen, third party as well as property and
services nearby. Methods of shoring and strutting should be fully detailed in the method statement. Removal of excavated
material from excavated area, method of handling, method of storage (including any handling if necessary) as well as
disposal shall be explained fully. Where controlled blasting is restricted, the contractor should ensure that all necessary
statutory approvals are obtained in advance and kept in current and all necessary insurance and other covers shall be taken
and kept valid in the case of sub-contracting this job, such cover shall include sub-contractor's workman also. Where
controlled blasting is resorted to, contractor should take all necessary precaution for ensuring safety of life end property in
the vicinity.
12. Carting away of excavated soil/surplus /dense soil/ disintegrated/ weathered/ soft rock /other materials away from the
site to a place designated and not objected by civic authorities by mechanical means including lead, lift, loading, unloading
etc., complete. Including taking necessary approval from local authorities, environmental norms to be followed for discarding
earth with submission of document of proof and fee if any. For the purpose of payment, quantities from the excavated area
based on contour profile shall be accounted and loose earth or truck load will not be measured and paid. Rate to include all
royalties, Seignorage, taking statutory approvals, traffic permits from Police and Local body, as necessary to carry out the
works etc., complete. Disposal should also to an approved site only. No Lift / lead distance or limitation is specified or
accepted. Contractor are required to examine the scope of work, inspect the site and find out before quoting the approved
disposal points. No increase in rate is allowable on account of difference between lift / lead distances.

General Excavation for Soil :


General Excavation by mechanical means using JCB / Poclaim etc in all types of soil including dense soil, disintegrated soil/
weathered soil/ soft rock including necessary manual excavation for dressing the edges & levelling, all leads and lifts. Rate
to include removal of slurry generated while excavation and keeping the area free of water, excavating loose pockets and
compacting the same including providing required shoring, strutting etc to retain the side earth from sliding. Contractor

shall get accquainted with site conditions, nature of soil and adopt adequate conventional dewatering system as deemed fit
for the nature of soil and prevailing water table to get the surface reasonably dry at the time of execution so that execution
will not be hampered or delayed. Rate is inclusive of making temporary stepping/sloping, shoring with planking, strutting,
sectioning, trimming, dressing of sides, leveling or grading, cleaning, removing and excavating loose pockets.

EW EARTH FILLING WORKS

:

4.Trimming all sides to plumb or otherwise as instructed at site, levelling all bottoms, clearing out all
loose earth etc. The rates to include necessary cutting, trimming and filling with compaction .

5. The selected fill material shall be approved by the Engineer In Charge before the same is used for
filling. The fill material shall be as specified. Black cotton, clayey or silty soil shall not be used. Soils
having laboratory density of less than 1.44 gm/cc may not be used for filling. Filled earth shall be
watered and compacted by power roller or any other approved mechanical means or adequate
capacity to achieve the required minimum proctor density of 95% to 98 % with 2.0gm/cc MDD . Cost
to include necessary plate load test at intervals to meet the specified compaction requirement. Filling
in foundations and in plinth in layers not exceeding 150 mm, watering, consolidation, dressing etc.
complete and include for all lifts and leads, transport from stacks, rehandling etc. Sample stretch
needs to be prepared as testing layer prior to start the actual filling works and number of passes
required to achieve the required density with optimum moisture content is derived considering all
factors like type of soil, type of rolling, number of passes etc.
6. Measurements for filling will be taken for consolidated thickness only. Cost to include all and
necessary royalty and other permission charges required to execute the works including testing of
core samples at intervals as per BIS codes etc., complete. The compaction load tests as per BIS Codes
needs to be done for each layer by the contractor to ensure that the required compaction is
achieved .
7. The method statement shall include all safety features and protection to workmen, third party as
well as property and services nearby. Methods of shoring and strutting should be fully detailed in the
method statement. Removal of excavated material from excavated area, method of handling, method
of storage(including any handling if necessary) as well as disposal shall be explained fully. Where
controlled blasting is restricted, the contractor should ensure that all necessary statutory approvals

i For Foundation + Raft Cum 300 qro

Specification & scope of work same as EW 01 but for earthwork excavation in unpoclainable
Weathered rock/medium rock at all levels for general excavation with non blasting method like
EW 02
chisseling, quenching etc. using mechanical rock breaker attachment inclusive of all lead & lifts,
shifting, stacking at the plot of approved location.
2.1 For Foundation & Sub structure works Cum 450 3,770 16,96,500

Filling and consolidation from existing ground level / foundations / trenches etc with approved
available earth within the campus, where ever specified with approved good quality filling materials
including filling in layers of 15 cms, breaking clods, watering and consolidation, etc., complete.
Consolidation shall be properly done, using approved capacity mechanical compactor, to achieve a
EW 03 proctor density of 98%. Block levels at the place of depositing of earth at intervals as directed by the
Engineer should be jointly recorded by the contractor's representative and the Client Project
Manager before depositing of earth. Such levels shall be used for calculating the quantity of earth
deposited. The rate to include loading, unloading, hire and fuel charges for tools and plants and
other incidental charges etc., complete.

PCC PLAIN CEMENT CONCRETE WORKS
Unless otherwise specified rates quoted for all PCC works shall include the
following :
1. Cost of all materials, labour, equipment / tools & plants required, lead
and lifts, conveyance, infrastructure facilities required etc.
2. The contractors are particularly advised to study the relevant drawings
carefully before quoting.
3. Minimum cement content for concrete shall be as per cement constants
enclosed.
4. Cost of suitable form work as per site requirement.
5. Adequate protection to edges and corners of Plain Cement Concrete
works from damage during construction.
6. Keeping the work, well watered for 3-5 days for plain cement concrete
works after casting and it shall confirm to IS Specification.
7. Coarse graded sand/ manufactured sand of approved make shall be used
for all concrete works.
8. Machine crushed coarse graded aggregate shall be hard broken blue
granite of sizes specified.
9. Cement for all concrete works shall only be High strength ordinary
portland cement Grade-53.
10. Minimum cement content for specified design mix shall be in
accordance with specification. Minimum cement content will be the same as
specified in the Technical specification Irrespective of grade of cement used.
(Design mix shall be as approved by the Structural Consultant. GGBS can be
considered up to 50% of the overall cementious content in concrete mix
design for structural elements.)
11. Providing and laying plain cement concrete at any heights and levels
including the cost of all materials , labour, leads and lifts, tools and plant,
machinery as per specification with necessary shuttering etc complete. In
the concreting works if water table is encountered or water collected by
surface runoff, then the rate for concreting should include the cost of
dewatering up to the final set of cement. The concrete shall be produced at
site using batching plant / weigh batcher at site including any pumping if
required. The fine aggregates shall be either river sand or manufactured
sand from approved makes.

Providing and laying Plum concrete using lean concrete of grade M5


wherever specified using cement, fine aggregates, 20mm down size metal
and boulders of 150mm (proportion 60: 40 for concrete : boulder) including

FW FORM WORK
Unless otherwise specified rates quoted for all Form works shall include the
following :
Cost of all materials, labour, equipment / tools & plants required, lead and lifts,

conveyance, infrastructure facilities required etc.
Form work shall include splayed edges, notching, allowances for overlaps and
passing at angles, batterns, strutting, bolting, wedging, casing, rocking,
centering, boxing, shuttering, propping strut braces etc., removal thereof and

tolerance as specified in IS 456 and shuttering should be water tight. Shuttering
materials shall be Aluminum / steel / timber or plywood as suitable for the work
intended.
Tenderer shall ensure that they have adequate quantity of shuttering and
suitable propping materials according to the floor height specified in the
drawing to keep up the required Concreting cycle per floor as set out in the
Tender Documents, Drawings and Programme. They shall also ensure that the
4 de-shuttering sequence with proper propping, taking into account the
Construction Loading of the upper slabs, as set out in the Tender Drawings, is
also kept up. Scheme to maintain the props shall ensure that main supports are
not disturbed. Reproping by means of removal and reintroducing of props is
not allowed.
Any honey coombs, any undulations, bulging, any leakage of slurry, concrete
5 etc is not acceptable and decision of the structural consultant along with the
architect is final.
Formwork shall be designed for close jointed rigid, durable and shall have
adequate strength, water tightness and ensure easy removal etc., Props,
shorings and bracings shall be all in steel. Formwork designed with proposed
6 materials (to be approved prior to making) shall be able to retain its shape, line,
dimension, level within the allowable limits of variations. Necessary
arrangement shall be envisaged to provide camber in beams or slabs as per
design.
All tie rod holes to be filled with approved grouting material. Cost to include
7 necessary embedded tie rod for fixing the one sided shuttering and water
retaining structures.
Shuttering & deshuttering sequence shall be 100%, 80% & 40% from the slab
to be cast respectively depending on the progress. The same is as per the details
enumerated in General Notes. Contractors shall submit drawings showing the
scheme of formwork including back propping and proper sequence of removal
8 of formwork and back propping so that the structural slab will not be
overloaded due to construction loads. All slabs shall be progressively DE
shuttered and back propped. It is compulsory to provide adequate back props to
the slab on which the supports are resting before taking up concreting work for
every slab.

Minimum of 150mm high MS frame works is required for kickers and starters
9 in case required and formwork design calculations including re-propping
arrangements needs to be submitted for approval.
Providing foam sheet at joints to prevent leakage of slurry during compaction,

Formwork for construction joints shall be submitted for approval. Shuttering


11 below the shrinkage strip at every level shall be retained in place without

RCC REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE


Unless otherwise specified rates quoted for all RCC works shall include the
following :
1. Cost of all materials, labour, equipment / tools & plants required,
conveyance, infrastructure facilities required etc.
2. All RCC items include batch weighing of cement and aggregates.
3. For all RCC works cement concrete shall be of approved design mix.
4. All concrete used for reinforced concrete work (structural concrete) shall be
"Controlled concrete". Contractors shall submit drawings showing the scheme
of form work system adopted(shuttering) for all structural elements at various
levels as indicated in drawings and this shall be obligatory. 'The successful
tenderer shall maintain at site, cube testing machine in good working order,
sieves, slump cone, graduated cylinder and weights, scales and other
equipment's for material testing.

5. Form work (which shall be measured and paid separately under relevant
item) include splayed edges, notching, allowances for overlaps and passing at
angles, battens, strutting, bolting, wedging, casing, rocking, centring, boxing,
shuttering, propping strut braces etc., removal thereof and dressing the
shuttering with oil to prevent, cement sticking to shutter faces. Form work shall
be either straight, curved, plain or tapered and also with provision for specified
slopes, if directed. Wind tie bolts for wall shuttering.

6. Keeping the work, well watered for 10 days after casting and it shall confirm
to IS Specification.
7. Placing in position any inserts like bolts, plates, sleeves, plugs for fixing
window frames in RCC members, pipes etc.
8. The contractors are particularly advised to study the relevant drawings
carefully before quoting.
9. Consolidation using vibrators of approved type as directed.
10. Work on all floors at levels as per drawing.

11. Reinforcement steel is measured and paid under relevant item separately.

12. Rate to include bonding agents for bonding old concrete to new concrete
wherever necessary.
13. All cover blocks shall be with PVC /Cement concrete with binding wires for
tying.
14. All Construction joints shall be at pre approved locations only. All
Construction joints and concrete set surface shall be chipped immediately after
final setting using mechanical chippers and thoroughly cleaned and shall be
treated with epoxy bonding agent while concreting further without any extra
cost. Expanded GI mesh shall be considered between the junction of difference
in grade of concrete only in slab & column/core wall with shear walls.

15. Forming key and construction joints, providing cement slurry work and
cleaning at any stage of work, sand papering of existing reinforcement bars of
column and dowels etc. as directed before taking up fresh work.

16. Coarse graded sand/ manufactured sand of approved make shall be used
for all concrete works.
17. Machine crushed coarse graded aggregate shall be hard broken blue
granite of sizes specified.
18. Cement for all concrete works shall only be High strength ordinary Portland
cement Grade-53.
19.Designing the concrete mix and batching as per specifications and approved
concrete design mix with necessary admixtures for various workability and
surface finish requirements.

20. Adding of admixture to meet the required standards and specifications for
various workability, consistency, self compaction, retardation, acceleration,
surface finish, colour, uniformity, strength, shrinkage control, durability, fire
rating, cohesiveness in the concrete as appropriate.

21. Limiting the temperature of concrete and heat of hydration by adopting


various temperature control measures like usage ice water, soaking of
aggregates in water, storage in shaded areas, transportation and pumping with
protective covers etc to meet the requirements. The rate shall include use of
plasticizers and retarders to limit the water/cement ratio to 0.5 and the
temperature to 35 degree C at the time of placing. Complete care shall be
taken to achieve dense and fully watertight concrete.

22. Providing sunk floors, pockets, cut-outs, holes etc.


23. Taking test cubes for all concrete items and testing them as specified in IS
456 at the site laboratory to be set up with proper equipment etc. and other
regular test shall be carried out as directed either at site Laboratory or at any
approved test laboratory.
24. Cost of in situ test on concrete like slump test, L-Box test, U box test, core
test, ultrasonic test, rebound hammer test etc to prove the soundness of the
element is included in rates and shall be carried out even though cube test
results are passing the strength criteria as required by the consultants.

25. Cost to include appropriate dewatering wherever necessary, cost of all


materials, labours, all lead and lifts, tools, plant and machinery, hire and fuel
charges and all other incidental charges etc., all as per specifications, drawings
and as directed.
26. For all structural concrete elements post construction dimension and levels
shall be documented and submitted.
27. Concrete pour plan with construction joints, pour joints, shrinkage strips
shall be submitted for approval. Shuttering below the shrinkage strip / pour
joints at every level shall be retained in place without disturbing for a time as
specified by the structural engineer. Any honey coombs not affecting structural
stability shall be smoothly finished with CM 1:4 at no extra cost. Any leakage of
slurry, concrete etc should be removed with grinding stone and finished
without any extra cost all as per the instructions of structural consultant.
28. All the material test certificates from external approved reputed testing
laboratory , standard deviation and post concreting check results shall be
submitted to the consultant.
29. Any honey combs not affecting structural stability shall be smoothly
finished with CM 1:4 at no extra cost. Any undulations, bulging etc shall be
chipped and finished by the contractor without any extra cost. Any leakage of
slurry, concrete etc should be removed with grinding stone and finished
without any extra cost all as per the instructions of structural consultant.
30. Cost to include appropriate dewatering wherever necessary, cost of all
materials, labours, all lead and lifts, tools, plant and machinery, hire and fuel
charges and all other incidental charges etc., all as per specifications, drawings
and as directed.
31. Approved mineral admixtures like micro silica/Ultrafine/Alccofine/GGBS
shall be used for concrete of various grades to meet design and architectural
finish requirements. GGBS can be considered up to 35-40% for foundations,
retaining walls and slab on grade works and max 25% for the balance elements
of the overall cementious content in concrete mix design.

32. Manufactured sand from approved makes can be considered .


33. Core test shall be conducted on all elements for acceptance of strength of
concrete achieved at site irrespective of the cube strength achieved as
confirmatory test for the stability of the building. The total no. of core test shall
generally be restricted to 0.5% of the total concrete volume in Cum.

34. Making all sunk floors, pockets, cutouts, holes, sleeves, embedding
electrical conduits, junction boxes, fan hooks, cutout boxes and other inserts,
sleeves hold fasts, pipes etc as specified in the drawings.
35.All the lifting equipments including tower crane, boom placer, pumping
lines, material hoist, lifts shall have independent supporting systems and shall
not transfer any stress on building components.
36. Minimum cementatious content for concrete shall be as per cement
constants enclosed in the Technical specification.

Providing & laying plant mixed design mix reinforced cement concrete
conforming to grades as specified in (IS 456 - 2000) and as per specifications
mentioned below at all levels using 20mm & down size aggregates, fine
aggregates, OPC, necessary admixtures approved by Consultants, including
designing the mix, trial cubes, accelerated curing, weigh batching, mechanical
mixing, transporting, pumping and placing at all levels, excluding the cost of
steel reinforcement, centring, shuttering but inclusive of cost towards pumping
using line pump or boom placer, scaffolding, compacting with vibrators,
construction joint treatments, curing and hacking the exposed surfaces

Supply,Cutting, wastage, straightening, bending, hoisting, fixing, supporting in


position using cover/spacer blocks and tying with approved binding wire made

twister or automatic tying machine or fusion welding whichever is appropriate
adopting various knots required for rigidity and positioning of the bars.

All reinforcement steel shall be cut & bent to the required size and shape as
detailed in the structural drawings using necessary plants & machinery in the
factory/ site and all lapping for 16mm and above in columns, corewalls,

shearwalls & staircase walls shall be using mechanical threaded couplers as per
the code. For all other elements lap length shall be considered as per structural
drawings & details.
Quantity of steel shall be as per drawing and authorised overlaps only shall be
measured and paid. Contractor shall prepare bar bending schedule and
fabrication shall be carried out as per approved bar bending

schedules/fabrication drawing. All testing including physical & chemical and
quality assurances shall be as per the tender conditions/ Specifications and no
extra shall be paid for the same.
Unless otherwise noted in the bills of Quantities, method of measurements shall
be generally in accordance with IS 1200. Reinforcement shall be measured only
in lengths of bars as actually placed in position on standard weight basis, no
6 allowance being made in the weight for rolling margin. Authorised laps and
splices only will be measured. Chairs of any shape & profile, Spacer bar of any
shape & profile, cover block, wastage and binding wire will not be measured
and shall be included in the quoted rates.

Tests on materials shall conform to IS Specification and the test shall be carried

out as directed either at site Laboratory or at any approved test laboratory.

Quoted rate to include lead, lift, necessary fixing and tying arrangements for

STR Structural Steel Works


Unless otherwise specified rates quoted for all Structural steel works shall
include the following :
The scope of the work is as defined in the scope matrix and all the necessary
codal provisions, design requirements, stability requirements , testing
1 procedures are deemed to be included in the quoted rates. All the necessary
tests to prove the soundness of the material used as well as erected is deemed
to be included in the rates and no extra is payable.
The scope includes designing of structural steel connections including
necessary analysis, design detail submission, connection detailing, integration
of respective forces/ moments. Design of temporary or permanent bracings
2 necessitated due to behaviour of building or sequence of construction, shaft
drawing preparation and approval, fabrication drawings etc. are in the scope

The dimensional and weight tolerances for rolled shapes shall be in accordance

All structural steel works shall be shot blasted as per SSPC -SP10( Sa-2-1/2)

Cost of all materials, labour, equipment / tools & plants required, conveyance,

Machineries, Power and Water supply and site establishments.

Rate to include shims and packing pieces. No extra on this account will be paid

The structural steel work shall include welded and built up sections, trusses,
built-up purlins, framework welded and/or bolted, girders, gusset plates, base
plates, cleats, installing inserts etc., as per drawings. Cost to include fabricating

Work at any depth below ground level or any height above ground level and at

Measurement shall be considered for permanent works only. Temporary

Fabrication of the structural steel items shall be completed in all respects

Erection of fabricated items shall be carried out including lifting, placing in

position, jointing and painting as specified in the Bill of Quantities.

All welding with electrodes shall be in accordance with IS specification and as

approved.
Anti-corrosive treatment to structural steel with specialised painting for all steel
13 works should be carried out including preparation of surface conforming to IS
specifications, if specified in the bills of materials.
Usage of cranes of different capacities for material handling and leading,
14 separate mobile crawler / wheel mounted crane with telescopic boom etc., as
appropriate for erection of steel works at all levels and various locations.

Workmanship and finish of the fabricated items should be as per approved

standards and confirming to IS specification.
Painting shall be provided with two or more coats of approved brand as
16 specified in the Bill of Quantities. Painting shall be applied to obtain uniform
and good finish.

Tests on materials shall conform to IS Specification and the test shall be carried

out as directed either at site Laboratory or at any approved test laboratory.

All structural steel works shall be done in accordance with technical specification
18 Division 5 Section 05100 and intumescent fireproofing shall be done in
accordance with technical specification Division 5 Section 05250.

Fabrication drawings for structural steel work shall be prepared by contractor. It


is contractor's responsibility to follow the details from the GA drawings, design

and develop all required splicing, connection details, erection details, temporary
bracings for erection etc., to meet the design intent.

Providing, supplying, fabricating, transporting and installation of structural steel


members of required size comprising of built up sections, readily available
STR 01 sections, welded frame works, etc. with necessary constellations, bolting
provisions, slots, niches, bearing plates, connection plates, extension plates,
splices, etc for proper execution of works.

Cost to include straightening, cutting, welding, bending to shape and size,


provisions for bolting, shot blasting, primer application, and approved factory
finish including stamping, packing, transportation and storage after necessary
submission and approval of designs, development drawings, GA drawings,

STR 02 Corrosion Resisitant Painting System -

spray machine. Cost to include necessary zinc epoxy primer, intermidiate coat
