• To access your exams please go to the designated exam room no later than 20 minutes before
the scheduled start time of your exam.
• Once you arrive, you will be greeted by the examination supervisor. You will be asked to leave
your belongings at the back of the room and you will be allocated a desk.
• When you have turned on your device and you are ready to sit your exam, please raise your hand
and notify the invigilator. The exam supervisor will notify you when you are permitted to navigate to
your Moodle test page.
• When you have landed on the Moodle test site, the examination Supervisor will read out the
examination rules and regulations and outline specific instructions for the exam you will be sitting.
• Your exam supervisor will inform you when you may refresh your page and begin your exam.
• During your exam if you have any questions or issues, please raise your hand and an invigilator
will be able to assist you.
• Your test is on this Moodle page and can be accessed only 30 minutes before the scheduled
start time.

You will not be permitted into the exam room if you are more than 20 minutes late
from the scheduled exam start time.
Examination Rules and Regulations
• You will require a Mac or PC laptop.
• You must have a headset for your English listening component.
• Your device needs to be fully charged.
• You must remain at your workstation for the duration of the exam.
• You may request permission for a short toilet break, please raise your hand and an invigilator will
accompany you.
• You may have a pen and paper for note-taking. Take note of the exam instructions at the start of
the exam as you will not be able to return to them.
• Do not attempt to communicate with another candidate during the exam.
• You must not use a dictionary.
• You must not search for any information or copy any information from websites.
• You must not access any learning materials during the exam.
• Do not attempt to record any part of the exam.
• Do not copy or share any of the exam questions or answers, during or after the exam.
• You must not ask for, or give assistance to, any other candidate during the exam.
• Listen to the exam invigilator and follow all instructions.
• Before you can begin your exam, you must read and accept the UNSW Plagiarism policy.
Approved Equipment
• PED with functioning audio and headphones
• UNSW College issued ID card
• Blank paper and a pen for note taking
Illness and Misadventure
You are eligible to apply for Illness and Misadventure if:
• You experience Illness or any other unavoidable circumstances.
• You experience technical issues.
If you need to fill out an Illness and Misadventure form you will need to provide supporting
documentation (i.e. Medical Certificate or a screenshot of your technical issue). Illness and
Misadventure forms will only be accepted on the same day as the exam date.
