What is Rattan?  Rattan grown in along slender stem which maintain an almost uniform diameter thought its length. It s grows in a manner similar to a vine, but has an inner core and is not hollow like bamboo. The shade in the rain forest is very dense and practical way for the rattan vines to reach the light above the forest canopy. The outer portion of the stem is extremely hard and durable. Rattan have been known to grow up to hundreds of meter long most (70%) of the world s rattan population exist in Indonesia distribution among Borneo, Sumbawa island. The rest of world s supply comes from the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Bangladesh.

Rattan Furniture:  Rattans are extensively used for making furniture and baskets. When cut into sections, rattan cane used as wood to make furniture. Rattan accepts paints and stains like many other kind of wood. So, it s available in many colors and it can be worked into many styles, like Bed, Sofa etc.

How to start Rattan furniture business?  First we need three type of asset to start rattan furniture business. In every business we need three essential elements to run or start a new business those are, Land and Place Labor or Skilled People Capital

Land and Place: Land is very important asset for start a new business. We want a new rattan furniture factory, we must need 30 decimal lands for made ware house, painting house, work station and shop for selling furniture to the customer. A rattan factory design is showing below.

Labor or Skilled Worker: A skilled worker is any worker who has special skill. Knowledge or (usually acquired) ability in their work. Labor is the most important element for rattan factory. Without skill labor, we can t made furniture or rattan accessions. That s why we need skill labor at least 150 people need to start new rattan furniture business. 80 people made rattan bed and sofa. 50 people need cutting and painting, and collect raw materials, and next 10 people need for sell furniture to customer.

Capital: Cash or goods used to generate income either by investing in a business or a different income. The capital structure of rattan furniture factory given below.
