civil liberties banquet


The speaker at the American Civil Liberties Union Banquet which will be held next Wednesday, 13th April in the Garden Room, 215 W. Dickson, starting at 6pm. The speaker will be Dr. Joycelyn Elders, former U.S. Surgeon General and a longtime advocate for civil liberties, especially women and children's rights. Bicycle Fayetteville Days


The first ever Bicycle Fayetteville Days, a multi-day festival celebrating bicyclists of all ages and abilities, is set to begin Saturday, April 16th on the downtown square. All events are free. An art bike show and parade will begin at noon. Members of the public are invited to be creative and design a weatherproof and rideable art bike for the event. Judging of all entries will begin at 12:30pm followed by a parade at 2:30pm from the square to the Walton Arts Center and back. http://www.bikefaydays.org/
