Dear Senator Dela Rosa,
Good day!!
My name is Maria Rosa Victoria Acao Galendez, 41 years old, and a resident of Mat-I,
Claveria, Misamis Oriental. I was diagnosed with a chronic kidney disease.
Overtime, my kidney disease has gotten worse causing my kidneys not to work well
enough to keep me alive. This is what I am facing now, and my treatment options are
limited to dialysis treatment or Kidney Transplant.
Getting regular dialysis treatment, usually two to three times a week for four hours at a
time, will help my kidneys do their job and keep me alive, but a transplant would offer me
more freedom and ability to live longer, healthier, more normal life and to take care of my
daughter who is in special need because she is a cerebral palsy. A transplant would also
give me a more time to do the fun things I enjoy the most like spending time with my
family and friends.
However, the cost of the said transplant is so expensive that we could not afford all the
expenses.
I am writing you this letter to ask for any health assistance from your good office. Thank
