Preparation method Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend all ingredients together until dough is well mixed. Roll out onto floured surface. Cut into desired shapes. Place on greased and floured baking sheets. Bake for 8 minutes or until browned. Cool. Decorate with candy pieces and other embellishments.

Modo de Preparao Pr-aquea o forno a 350 graus. Misture todos os ingredientes at a massa ficar bem misturada. Role numa superfcie enfarinhada. Corte nas formas desejadas. Unte e enfarinhe a assadeira. Asse por 8 minutos ou at dourar. Deixe arrefecer. Decore com pedaos de doces e outros enfeites.

50g unsalted butter 5 tablespoons dark brown soft sugar 250ml milk 12 dates, pitted and chopped 100g sultanas 25g dried currants 75g candied mixed fruit peel, chopped 1 orange 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda 150g self-raising flour 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon pinch salt

Preparation method Grease a pudding mould. In a large saucepan combine butter, sugar, milk, dates, sultanas, currants, mixed fruit peel and zest of the orange; bring to the boil. Remove from heat and stir in bicarbonate of soda. Sift in the flour, cinnamon and salt; mix gently until blended. Pour into prepared pudding mould. Cover with a double layer of greased greaseproof paper and steam for 2 hours.

Modo de Preparao Unte uma forma de pudim. Numa panela grande misture a manteiga, acar, leite, tmaras, sultanas, passas, cascas de frutas mistas e as raspas de laranja; deixe ferver. Retire do calor e misture o bicarbonato de sdio. Peneire a farinha, a canela e o sal; misture delicadamente at misturar bem. Despeje na forma de pudim preparada. Cubra com uma camada dupla de papel vegetal untado e vapor por 2 horas.
