Name: Sabine Occupation: Interrogation Technician Gender: Female

Abilities: Science, Interrogation

Biography: Sabine is in charge of thought recording technology and interrogation. She's very clinical about pulling memories out of people and torturing them. Sabine is in love with Clement (one of the Dravo lookalikes), but accidentally told Bertholf (another lookalike) by mistake. She quickly realized her mistake, but is worried about Bertholf reporting her illegal feelings to Renata. Clement still doesn't know about how she feels - one of her goals is to successfully tell him, and to protect him. Relations to other characters: There should only be three Dravo look-alikes, but there are four. Anyone wearing a fake mustache looks just like Aleksander Dravo. You can't tell them apart at all. You know that the lookalikes were Anselm, Bertholf, Clement and Dieter, but have no idea which is which. Dieter was interrogated, tortured, executed and then completely expunged from the record. Even mentioning Dieter is treason at this point. Clement is one of the lookalikes, who has always been very nice to you. You have secretly fallen in love with him, and wish to tell him. But romance is illegal under current laws, so you have to be careful doing so, and not make a mistake like last time. Stasio is the one in charge of all the actors, and can tell the lookalikes apart. Renata was Dravo's second in command, so she was often the one you reported to. With Dravo gone, she seems to be the one in charge now. You should try to get on her good side if at all possible. Gudrun is the head of security for the Ministry where you work. You often work closely with her, because you need to interrogate the suspects she brings you. Jurgen is a propaganda writer who has been accused of treason. It is likely that you will need to interrogate him, especially if he does anything suspicious.

Political Issues: Science must follow Party doctrine. As a scientist yourself, you want to uncover the truth rather than follow political ideals. Fiction writing and acting are outlawed (except secret propaganda writing). You actually support this. You never trusted fictions ability to twist truth into lies and to mislead the public. You tolerate the propaganda put out by the Ministry, but only barely. If you had your way, the party would only tell the truth and only accept the truth from its citizens.

Love, romance and sex are outlawed. All reproduction is to be carried out via artificial insemination. Many wish to repeal this law, but Party superiors enjoy the control it gives them over society. Since you are in love with Clement, you would like to see this law repealed so that your affair would not put him in danger.
