THE SUN IN OUR SURROUNDINGS
I. Overview
The Sun provides the Earth with heat and light. It is the largest objects in the Solar system. The Sun
is 70% hydrogen, 28% helium and 2% metals.
Since the Earth rotates from west to east, it makes Sun appear to move from east to west. That’s
why we can see the sun rising on the east and setting on the west.
