If the intonation of the question tag goes up, it means you are not sure and you want to know the answer.

Read the information about keeping a conversation going
Keeping a conversation going is often considered polite in social and business situations. Here are some
ways to help keep a conversation going.
Showing the speaker that you are listening.
Oh, really? That's interesting!
Asking a follow-up question about something the speaker said.
What was on the test?
The bus driver didn't really say that, did he?
Avoid yes/no questions. Use wh- questions instead. Wh- questions require speakers to give more
information in their answers.
