Course Title : ORAL SURGERY 2 Degree Program : DMD
Course Outcomes :
1. Acquire adequate knowledge of the basic principles and concepts in the surgical management of
the different conditions and diseases affecting the oral cavity.
2. Gain skills in the evaluation of patients and formulate proper surgical treatment plans suitable for
each of the oral problems/diseases.
3. Imbibe and develop social sensitivity to operationalize the dictum “service to humanity”in the
practice of Oral Surgery through the promotion of oral health of the community and of
the nation
4. Acquire and develop proficiency in clinical diagnostic procedures, competent judgment of various
clinical case, and effective patient management geared for global
competitiveness;
5. Apply the basic principles and skills in patient evaluation and diagnosis to identify actual cases
indicated for special surgical procedures and create the most ideal and/or the best
feasible treatment plans in the surgical management of the patients with dental/oral problems
