“TH”
Sound
Exercises
1. Work in pairs, use your dictionaries to find the related th sound pronunciation and
practise the sentence “The thick thief under the three tree” till ensuring each other
that you perfectly produce the sounds.

2. Let’s do the same for the following mini reading text:

Three Things
These are the three things I like. I like thorns, mothers,
and birthday cakes. I like thorns because I like the thick,
beautiful roses that grow on the thorns. I like mothers
because they help me when I need help. I like birthday
cakes because you can eat as much as you want and get
sick! I think that's all because I said everything I
could think of.
3. Now, try to create your own absurd tongue twisters with “th” sound. Here are some
examples for you. You may also try to practise them, too.

 There those thousand thinkers were thinking how did the other three thieves go
though.
 Not these things here but those things there.
 I thought, I thought of thinking of thanking you.
