children can vary depending on several factors including the child’s exposure to
music, environment and personal experiences. It shaped my thinking by showing
me how it affects young children.
Artifact 2- This artifact shows that dancehall music is a popular genre that
originated in Jamaican in the 1970s. It emerged as a vibrant and energetic form of
music characterized by its distinctive beat’s catchy melodies, and lyrical content

REFLECTION 2
My first artifacts are an article on dancehall music highlighting the history about
dancehall music and the impact on young children. The author used standard patwa
which was formal throughout with both short and the long sentence that has helped
to bring out the most information tone. Example “Dancehall is a mixture of reggae
and its history and how it came about”
My second artifact is a poem by Gracey (2020) stating the history. The piece was
also a very informative written in patwa and was very interesting t listen to as the
vocabulary was simple for the most part and it gave a brief background on
dancehall music
My last artifact is and audio by Alkaline {2020} highlighting and young Earlon
and huge waves hit south east of Jamaica, high level of alkaline found in the water.
The audio was informal and inserting to listen, the tone was entertaining

school-based assessment {SBA} as a group we help each other by working
together and checking each other’s work to make sure we on the same path
