The diagram depicts processes of olive oil production.
As can be observe from the diagram, there are essentially eight steps in olive oil manufacturing,
starting from olives harvesting and ending at transportation to retailer.
To begin with, olives are yielded at the garden manually, by farmers using rake. These olives are
be stored in vat, where they settle from two to three days. When the olives are taken out of
storage, they are transfered on a conveyor for washing under cold water. Under the use of
hammers, clean olives are crushed by a crusher machinery. The achived products are olive
stones and olive paste, which is stored in container and pumped to next machine through pipe
respectively.
In pressing and filtering process, a special machine designed with hydraulic press forces only
raw oil from olive paste run through its filter. Later, olive oil is purified, as the centrifuge
spinning separates oil and water. In the packaging process, olive oil is bottled on production line
before being loaded onto trucks for transport to retail stores.
Overall, the production process involves several key steps, including harvesting, storage,
washing, crushing, pressing, filtering, and bottling, before the final product is transported to
retail stores. The process primarily focuses on extracting pure oil from olives while separating
unwanted components such as stones and water.
To begin with, olives are manually collected from trees using rakes. The harvested olives are
then stored in a vat for two to three days, allowing them to settle. Once ready, they are
transferred via a conveyor belt to a washing system, where they are thoroughly cleaned with
cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.
Next, the cleaned olives undergo a crushing process, where a hammer-based machine breaks
them down into two components: olive stones, which are discarded, and olive paste, which is
stored in a container before being pumped into the next stage. In the pressing and filtering
stage, a hydraulic press is used to extract raw oil from the olive paste, forcing it through a filter
to remove solid residues.
Following this, the extracted oil undergoes further purification in a centrifuge, which spins at
high speed to separate oil from water. The refined olive oil is then bottled in a production line
before being loaded onto trucks for transportation to retail stores, marking the final step in the
manufacturing process.
