Job Summary:
The Public Relations Specialist is responsible for managing and enhancing an organization’s public
image and brand. This role involves developing communication strategies, managing media relations,
creating press releases, and engaging with the community to promote the organization’s goals and
objectives. The PR Specialist plays a critical role in shaping public perception and maintaining a
positive reputation.

Key Responsibilities:
.Media Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and other media representatives.
- Pitch story ideas, coordinate interviews, and respond to media inquiries.

.Press Releases and Communication Materials:


Write and distribute press releases, op-eds, and media advisories to announce newsworthy events,
product launches, and organizational achievements.
Create engaging content for newsletters, websites, and social media platforms.

.Crisis Management:Develop crisis communication plans and serve as a point of contact during
emergencies or negative publicity situations.
Respond to media inquiries and provide accurate information to mitigate damage to the organization’s
reputation.

.Event Planning:Organize and coordinate press conferences, media events, and community outreach
initiatives. Plan and manage events to enhance community engagement and promote the
organization’s mission.

.Social Media Management:Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance the
organization’s online presence.Monitor social media channels, engage with followers, and manage the
organization’s online reputation.

.Research and Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and media landscape to
inform PR strategies.
Analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns and prepare reports to evaluate success and inform future
efforts.

.Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, communications, and other departments to ensure
consistent messaging and branding.
Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, and stakeholders as needed.

. Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with the community through outreach
initiatives and partnerships.
Represent the organization at community events and networking opportunities.

Required Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.

Experience:2-4 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related role.


A proven track record of developing and implementing successful PR campaigns.

Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in media relations and understanding of PR tools and platforms.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Soft Skills:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations and priorities.

Working Hours:
Full-time, Sunday to Thursday , 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some flexibility may be required for campaign
launches.
