1. Globalization: The process of increased interconnectedness and interdependence among countries,

2. Metaphor: A figure of speech that describes an object or action in terms of something else, without using
“like” or “as.” Example: “Time is money.”
3. Globalization theories: Various perspectives that attempt to explain the causes, consequences, and nature of
globalization, such as hyper globalism, skeptical, and transformation list theories.
4. Homogeneity: The state of being uniform or similar in nature or character.
5. Heterogeneity: The state of being diverse or varied in nature or character.
6. Neoliberalism: An economic and political ideology that emphasizes limited government intervention, free-
market capitalism, and deregulation.
7. Capitalism: An economic system where private individuals or corporations own the means of production, and
trade and industry are driven by profit.
8. Market Economy: An economic system in which prices, production, and distribution of goods and services are
determined by the interactions of buyers and sellers in the market.
9. International Monetary Fund (IMF): An international organization that aims to promote global monetary
cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable
economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world.
10. Hybridization: The process of combining elements from different sources or cultures to create something
new and unique.
Part II

• The solid metaphor relates to globalization as nations and cultures are becoming interconnected, forming a
more cohesive global structure. The liquid metaphor represents the fluidity of information, people, and goods
across borders due to globalization’s influence.

• Globalization and religion involve the spread of ideas, beliefs, and practices across borders, sometimes leading
to cultural clashes. Globalization and regionalization, on the other hand, are processes that can either
