SOCIO101: CONTEMPORARY WORLD

GROUP PRESENTATION GUIDELINES


This is your main activity guide for the entire course.

1. Please do not forget to do a thorough research and study before presenting your Idea. You can
use the available resources in our LMS. Watch the simplified video presentation for your
information, however you can always use other references for your convenience.
2. The activities should to be done by group but the grades will be individual since everybody is
required to contribute and present his idea.
3. The total collaborative pre-recorded video presentation should be 30 minutes only. Therefore,
you need to plan and study then just include the most important content of the topic. Example:
No need for you to present the life of Plato, St. Augustine or Kant, yet just focus to what they
contribute to the topic.
4. In the beginning of the video assign somebody to say the following statement:
“This is for educational use only. Our group is allowing our Instructor, Mr. Roldan Ardines to use
this as an educational material.”

5. You need to appear on the video do not forget to label yourself by your name all throughout
your presentation.
6. Make sure you have a good quality video and audio, avoid dark pictures or shadows and also
avoid disturbing background noise. Again, Plan and do not rush things.
7. You need to add powerpoint presentation. If you will add video clips it should be only a
seconder and not more than a minute per presenter.
8. Do not read whatever content in your power point, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! The best thing to
do is to explain based on your understanding and provide example to simplify the topic.
9. Since this is pre-recorded, we need to follow the ENGLISH ONLY POLICY.
10. Before presenting the presentation, you need to present first your objectives.
11. Do a dry run of your presentation, make sure the video and the audio are in good quality upon
presentation.
12. This is pre-recorded, therefore there will be no excused of your absence.
13. Create a 20 items multiple choice exam, using WH intellectual questions. Provide 4 choices and
always put the correct answer in letter A. Use note pad to create this and take note that always
use Uppercase in the letter of choices. And uppercase for the word ANSWER.

questions and clarifications (the presenter is require to answer the queries), also you may add
insights and other related information in the comment section, make sure you will use your real
name in your account for grading purposes.
