President Ho Chi Minh was a great leader of Vietnam. He was born in 1890 in a small village in central
Vietnam. As a young man, he travelled to many countries to learn about ' the world, and to find ways to

In 1945, Ho Chi Minh declared Vietnam's independence from France and became the country's first
