A BEAUTIFUL MIND

There are really times that rarities are also in the same way are oddities. From his biography, John Forbes Nash, Jr., was one of the elite who attended Princeton University as a graduate student. He really is a mathematical genius. But as he progresses in time so as his mind regressed to developing paranoid schizophrenia. John, in the film seems to be asocial. Besides, he also became eccentric trying to prove or make a unique mathematical theory of his own. He usually stays with his roommate, Charles. He became a teacher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he met his wife, Alicia. After graduating, he helped the government in unlocking Soviet secret codes which eventually turned out to involving him in a terrifying conspiracy plot. It then turned out that a William Parcher was putting him in danger. His seeing and hearing people of his own and delusions were probably due to his unhappiness and trying to be someone important. He then on was institutionally diagnosed with schizophrenia and was confined in hospitals. As depths of his imaginary world are revealed, John remained withdrawn from the society until it was in the 70s that he began to get back to the usual. His struggle with his illness has led him to myriad of highs and lows. And the best part of the movie was when he received his Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 1994 at Stockholm, Sweden. An epitome of love and care, Alicia never deserted John through the days he needed her most. Despite her hardships, she accepted John for who he was and took care of him when he was not in the hospital. This movie is inspirational which depicts the truth that people can and do get better. It serves as an inspiration to believing, and with unending hope, for healing. In line with Christian virtues, it is our faith that keeps us strong (Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.)This biopic of John Forbes Nash is truly an amazing piece of work dedicated to people who struggles to find themselves their pieces and builds them as a part of the society.

The movie A Beautiful Mind really deserved the awards won globally, including eight nominations and four awards of the 2002 Academy Awards (Oscars).
