● Students will be able to recall and identify the different types of nutrients required by
animals (carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals).
● Students will summarize and interpret the respiratory system in humans, including the
lungs and the process of gas exchange.
● Students will apply how plants and animals adapt to different environments (e.g., desert
plants, aquatic animals).
● Students will analyze and evaluate common diseases and how they can be prevented
through hygiene and proper nutrition.
