Executive Summary

Bangladesh has a huge potentiality in telecommunication. With almost eighty million users six operators of Bangladesh is trying to provide services with adding extra values. Which opened the opportunity for our techno- entrepreneurs to create this value added services and get benefits for them, operators and the subscribers. From the early 2003, techno- entrepreneurs are providing VAS, and calling themselves value added service provider. This internship paper is based: " Mobile Value added services through Techno-entrepreneur in Bangladesh: A study with Wintel Limited. The objectives of this paper are to identify the current picture of this sector, problems and solutions. After having fundamental preparation about the topic, I met with the related persons of Wintel Limited, the first and one of the leading VAS providers in Bangladesh. But some obstacles hampered the project activities. In many cases the employees were not co operative because of their restrictions; there were lack of time and money. However, a survey was made and the SWOT analysis of Wintel Limited is done. I have divided the paper into 6 chapters: introductory chapter, theoretical background, company analysis, VAS provided by six operators, SWOT analysis & recommendations and findings. Moreover, Techno entrepreneurs have created a new era in the telecommunication sector of our country. But what is needed most is the cumulative impact of VAS providers.
