We are in need of some service to our Lodge to make it more functional, inviting and comfortable. Our carpet is in need of replacing-even a good cleaning would be good for starters An overall good thorough cleaning is needed throughout the Lodge Even a new paint job would be nice
Please contribute what you can to our Building Maintenance Fund. If you cannot send a cash donation maybe you can contribute a needed item, service or some of your time.
First impressions speak wonders when visitors come into our Lodge. For this reason we need to stay on top of its maintenance and cleaning.
These facilities are available to all our members and others for functions and events.
Let's keep up the pride in our Lodge, by keeping up with its upkeep.
Please mail your monetary contribution to the Lodge stating that it is for the Building Maintenance Fund or call to make arrangements for donations of items or for volunteering to help with cleaning or other desired involvement.
Every little bit of help would be very much appreciated.

This program is totally sponsored by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the U.S.A. It is endorsed by hundreds of school systems around the country. The Hoop Shoot is funded by the Elks National Foundation and the support of local Lodges and state associations. Travel and lodging expenses for the contestants and their parents are paid for by the Elks.
Our state major project is the Elk's Rehab System. You can support this project by pledging $100 (C-Note). This is payable in full or in installments of as little as $10 per year. The C-Note monies go into a permanent fund and the income is given to the Hospital to help pay for care for low income patients.
You can also help by donating cash or food to the annual Food Caravan which has been rescheduled to September of 2012.
Want to start a C-Note? Contact Marvin Chamberlain at 734-4244 or marvin@magiclink.com Submitted by Marvin D. Chamberlain

Also, if there is an event that you would like to see us put on at the Lodge, we are always open to ideas.
Please contact the Lodge or Brenda Sreca at 208-316-4770, or any of the Trustees or Officers. PARTICIPATION IS THE KEY TO ELKDOM
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the USA has joined forces with Donate Life America to increase donations of organs, eyes and life-saving tissue. The need is paramount.
More than 110,000 patients were waiting for organ transplants as of March 2011, according to the Donate life America Web site, www.donatelife.net.
Only 28,663 organ transplants had been performed in 2010, and even fewer - 14,502 - organ donations had been made in that year.
We Elks Members can help close the gap! The effort of Lodges to promote the program through their Bulletins and Web site can gain them five points in their quests to be named an All American Lodge. More incentives will be announced in coming years as the program takes shape throughout Elkdom.
For more information on the importance of donation and how to become a registered donor in your state, go to the Donate LifeSM web- site, or by logging onto www.donatelife.net. This is a great way to show that "Elks Give from the Heart."

Welcome to the Chair Officers who stepped up to fill all the Chairs. This is the first time in many years that this has been done.
I'm seeing new members starting to help in functions and even being the Chairperson of them. We are branching out into more community programs. We need help in many of them, Most of the time involved is 2-4 hours. Contact Brenda or myself to volunteer. Some of the programs are the Jerome Soup Kitchen, Drug Awareness in all the middle schools, CSI's food drive, Veterans, the Elks hospital.
In the Hoop Shoot, Madeline Ardema will represent us at the Nationals in Springfield, Massachusetts. She is one of 72 participants out of 3 1/2 million kids nationwide. What an honor for her and us.
Don't forget to bring the kids and grandkids to the Easter Egg Hunt and breakfast on Saturday, April 7th.
I'm looking forward to a great year in Elkdom. Come on out and be a part of it. Elks Care, Elks Share. Lyle L. Moore - Exalted Ruler (208) 404-9187

From the Secretary's Desk
Hello Fellow Elk Members,
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Brenda Sreca and I am the new secretary. I am very excited and Thank everyone ahead of time for their patience, as I realize I have a lot to learn and look forward to the honor of serving you. I would like to say Thank You to Maria for all her support during this transition.
Most of you know me through this Newsletter and as a Trustee. Others by way of the dinners and functions we have had at our Lodge. I have met some wonderful people through these means and look forward to getting to know many more of you.
I am planning to open the office up for regular business hours and am seeking some input on which days and times you would like me to be available to you. My intent is to open at least three days a week.
I look forward to meeting everyone and working together on future projects.
Fraternally yours, Brenda J. Sreca - Secretary
