Completed formal Teacher Observation Training Seminar conducted by The New Teacher Center. Responsible for completing the observation cycle for 1/2 of the faculty on the evaluation cycle each year.

Child Study Chair Responsible for all aspects of the child study process from the referral to eligibility. School Testing Coordinator
Coordinate scheduling of small group testing situations to accommodate ESL, ExEd, and 504 requirements. Generate school wide, classroom, and student level testing data reports. Helped create and present the Henrico 21 expectations at Rivers Edge, including the creation of a Henrico 21 lesson plan self-evaluation tool for teachers. Actively working with a new fourth grade teacher to design and implement a yearlong Henrico 21 project centered around the Journey North Climate Change Study, including an interactive blog. Facilitate all aspects of student transportation, including all arrival and dismissal procedures. Received a grant to fully fund the Project iRead program at Dumbarton Elementary. Implemented the Step Up to Writing program at Dumbarton Elementary. Created Maybeury University, a monthly staff development project where teachers could learn new skills. Facilitated the creation of Professional Learning Communities. Collaborated with teachers to identify and instruct students for an after school remediation program. Coordinated all aspects of an after school remediation program including hiring teachers, coordinating transportation, working with school food services, communicating with parents, and teaching classes. Responsible for all areas of gifted identification and testing. Instruct small groups of Gifted/Advanced fourth and fifth grade students.

Gifted Identification Coordinator Coalition of Equitable and Inclusive Schools, School Level Team Member PALS/Second Helping Remediation Coordinator
Organized daily remediation services for all qualifying students based on PALS screening results. Worked with remediation teachers and classroom teachers to create a master schedule for second helping instruction. Worked with a Henrico County based American Legion group to identify 60 at risk students and coordinate a Christmas program for those students and their families. Maintained monthly safety reports and coordinated all safety related issues and concerns. Collaborated with PTA representatives to plan, implement, and train a parent security patrol. Led a team that customized the annual crisis action plan. Led a team of four teachers with three members new to the grade level. Presenter for annual fourth grade information night and parent gifted information meeting. Science Curriculum Framework Revision Committee Member. First teacher in Henrico to implement a Journey North Tulip Garden. Presented to all Henrico science CCTs how to create and integrate a science garden. Awarded a two year grant from the EPA to pilot a curriculum integrated school recycling program.
