Empowering Minds: A Journey Through the National Learning Camp at Dona
Rosario National High School Annex
Introduction:
In an unassuming corner of the educational landscape, the Dona Rosario
National High School Annex embarked on a transformative journey through the
National Learning Camp. This endeavor aimed to elevate the learning experience
of young minds, enhancing their grasp of English, Science, and Mathematics
subjects. Guided by dedicated educators, the camp brought together Grade 7
and Grade 8 learners, marking a chapter of collective growth and
accomplishment.
Camp Formation and Dedication:
With great enthusiasm, the National Learning Camp welcomed 36 eager
learners for the Grade 7 Consolidation Camp and 15 enthusiastic participants for
the Grade 8 Consolidation Camp. The camp's essence was fortified by the
presence of two permanent teachers who stepped forward as National Learning
Camp volunteers. Their commitment was commendable, as they understood the
profound impact this initiative would have on shaping young minds.
Amplifying the cause were three Local Government Units (LGU) paid
teachers who demonstrated their commitment by submitting Letters of Intent.
This symphony of dedication resonated through the campus, setting the stage
for a memorable learning journey.
Advocacy and Support:
Guided by Officer In Charge William Felisilda and the illustrious board of
directors led by GPTA President Kagawad Jeffery Pardillo, the camp's vision
flourished. The harmonious partnership between educators, administrators, and
parents forged a robust support system. Recognizing the significance of
nurturing young talents, the Dona Rosario NHS School Principal III, Thelma A.
Odron lent unwavering support to the cause.
Fulfilling Every Learner's Needs:
A crucial facet of the National Learning Camp was ensuring that every
learner felt valued and equipped for success. The camp experience was enriched
by the provision of daily snacks, which fortified their bodies and minds for the
intellectual journey ahead. Furthermore, each learner received a comprehensive
Learning Camp School kit, empowering them with the tools needed to explore
knowledge. The free t-shirt, a symbol of unity, fostered a sense of belonging
among the participants.
Leveraging Innovative Tools:
The National Learning Camp embraced technology with open arms, using
the Quizalize platform to monitor learner progress and deepen their
understanding of learning competencies. This dynamic approach to education
allowed teachers to tailor their instruction to individual needs, making learning
an interactive and engaging experience.
A Tapestry of Learning and Fun:
Learning was not confined to traditional classroom walls. The camp
introduced outdoor activities intricately woven into the subject matter. This
innovative approach illuminated complex concepts, making them tangible and
relatable. The camp's five-week duration, spanning Tuesdays to Thursdays,
facilitated a consistent and immersive learning environment.
Central Office's Commitment:
The success of the National Learning Camp was augmented by the
unwavering support of the central office. Providing quality-assured workbooks,
lesson plans, and teacher notes, the central office ensured that the learning
experience was comprehensive and structured.
Conclusion:
The National Learning Camp at Dona Rosario National High School Annex
stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, dedication, and innovation.
This remarkable journey illuminated the path to holistic education, where the
synergy of educators, learners, parents, and administrators propelled young
minds to new heights of understanding. As the camp concluded on August 25,
