In a bold stride towards fostering educational excellence and equipping the youth for the
challenges of tomorrow, the Department of Education announces the launch of the National
Learning Camp Program. Designed to ignite the flames of curiosity, critical thinking, and
collaboration, this initiative promises to be a transformative journey for students across the nation.
As education steps into a new era, this program stands as a testament to the government's
unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds and nurturing a generation of capable leaders.
The said program spanned 5 weeks which started on July 24, 2023 and ended on August
25, 2023 with 61 participants from both grades 7 and 8. Both grade levels were grouped into 2
groups: the Enhancement Camp and Intervention Camp. The Enhancement camp is comprised of
a maximum of 35 learners while the Intervention Camp has only a maximum of 10 learners. The
national learning camp was implemented in full force by the school head and all teachers involved:
Sir Nestor J. Capina, Ma’am Gladys C. Remotigue, Ma’am Lainanie Camillo, Ma’am Rio Jane D.
Amplayo, Ma’am Janice C. Galacio, Ma’am Hannah Grace A. Balagot, Sir Kevin Mark M.
Provendido and Ma’am Ian O. Prado. The school also accepted volunteer teachers who could fully
support the implementation. Two volunteer teachers were involved; Sir Marlon. S. Balanza and
Ma’am Jennifer L. Sanchez.
Throughout the program, students exhibited remarkable growth in their respective subjects.
Many students who initially struggled with certain topics gained confidence and proficiency through
consistent effort and the guidance of dedicated instructors. Notable improvements were observed
in students' test scores, class participation, and critical thinking skills. Additionally, students
developed stronger study habits and a passion for continued learning. The success of the National
Learning Camp was also attributed to the active involvement of parents and guardians. Regular
parent-teacher meetings were held to provide updates on their child's progress and discuss areas
for improvement. Parents appreciated the program's impact on their children's academic growth
and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage with their child's education.
The National Learning Camp Program proved to be a resounding success, achieving its
goal of enhancing students' skills and knowledge in English, Math, and Science. The program not
only improved academic performance but also fostered a love for learning and exploration among
participants. The positive outcomes showcased the effectiveness of dedicated educators, well-
designed activities, and an enthusiastic community of learners. The school looks forward to
continuing and expanding this program in the coming years to empower more students to excel
academically and personally.
