III. Project Rationale:

Scientific research demonstrates that student health, attendance and academic performance is
improved with clean and well-maintained schools.

A clean and conducive environment is one of the preparations in each school. This will
motivate the learners as well as the parents that the school is a safe and an eco-friendly place. The
importance of cleanliness in school is to provide a healthy and safe environment for students. There
are many issues related to hygiene that students and school employees have to face every day.
Germs and bacteria are a part of life especially this pandemic. A clean and a safe environment plays
a vital role in the safety of the students and the teachers. More so, it creates a positive environment
that is free from any harm and danger.

With this, San Juan National High School makes sure that this coming Balik-Aral 2022’, the
school will be ready as the teachers and the students will have the face-to-face classes after two
years of blended and modular learning. The safety of everyone is the number one concern of the
school.

IV. Project Objectives:

 To orient and inform the parents about the school readiness and safety precautions and regulations in
the beginning of the school year.
 To observe the cleanliness in the school vicinity
 To segregate the wastes and cut the grass and tree foliage to avoid dengue and other illnesses

V. Project Description:

San Juan National High School will organize a Parent Orientation and an Eco-Friendly Clean-
up Drive as the face-to-face classes will start this coming August 22, 2022. The school community
together with stakeholders and 4P’s recipients have volunteered to join. The volunteers will be in
charged in the cleanliness and beautification of the school true cleaning, weeding and repainting.

VII. Target/Number of Beneficiaries:

The target beneficiaries of this project are the parents, teachers, students and the school
community.

The Parent Orientation and Eco-Friendly Clean-Up Drive will be held on August 11, 2022, 8-11
AM at San Juan National High School. The volunteers will be participating in cleaning he school, vicinity and
will be helping the teachers in preparing their classrooms for the upcoming opening of classes.

D. CONCLUSION/RECOMMENDATION
The parent orientation and clean-up drive became successful as parents and learners
participated well in maintaining the cleanliness within the school’s vicinity. With this, San Juan
National High School makes sure that this coming Balik-Aral 2022’, the school will be ready as the
teachers and the students will have the face-to-face classes after two years of blended and modular
learning. The safety of everyone is the number one concern of the school.

E. NARRATIVE REPORT
As the school year starts, San Juan National High School is also preparing the
parents and the teachers as the new challenges of the “new normal” brought by pandemic need a
lot of preparation. The parent orientation began with a welcoming message given by our school
head, ma’am Liberty D. Villegas. She emphasized that the school is ready for the upcoming face-to-
face classes. She also reminded the parents that they should also prepare the students with
complete Covid-Kit essentials including alcohol, facemasks, soaps and other school materials.
After the short welcome, our school Health leader, Sir Alfredo S. Guevarra oriented and
disseminated the information among the parents about the safety protocols that the learners need
to observe during the beginning of classes. He also reminded the parents that whenever the
students are feeling ill and experience any symptoms, it is mandated that those students should not
go to school.
After the short orientation, the parents actively helped in cleaning the school vicinity
especially the classrooms. Also, the other volunteers actively participated in painting the walls and
chairs. They helped in sweepin and weeding to prevent also the spread of dengue especially in this
rainy season.
It was indeed a productive day in San Juan National High School. With all the help and effort of
