About SIP:
"SIP-Summer Internship Programme 2012" is jointly launched by Pakistan's largest network Human Resource Development Network (HRDN) & Institute of Rural Management (IRM) to the highly motivated students from colleges & universities all across Pakistan. Under this programme students will be attached to professional working environment for six weeks in Partner organizations of HRDN where they will be hosted and receive valuable hands on experience in the eld of development. It is a unique learning experience as it allows students to acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical eld experience in research during their attachment in host organizations in their respective areas. SIP provides an independent research experience under the direct mentoring of the established experts.

Who Can Apply:

This is an open opportunity for young and fresh university/college students studying in the area of social sciences with an age limit of 26. Students must possess excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy. *Fresh graduates may also apply.

SIP 2012 Oers You:

An orientation on how youd go along this 6weeks Summer Internship Programme. Sessions on how to conduct a research will be delivered. Supervisors will be assigned for your research work. Valuable instructions and guidance from a qualied mentor/supervisor. Field exposure for interns to programme and project sights. (Field exposure, observations, analysis and writing eld report) To work in oce environment (all systems, equipments, communication, archiving etc.) To Research and document (Collecting information through organizational documents, communicating with sta and internet) An internship certicate at the end.

The Selection Process:

Applications will be reviewed by an independent penal and the shortlisted candidates will be called for test and interview in the rst week of June. Students if selected will be attached with organizations in their respective cities of choices. Admission Procedure & Fee structure:

SIP 2012 is heavily subsidized by HRDN & IRM and a nominal fee is charged by students. 1. Fill & submit your admission application on the postal address: 6, St. 56, F-6/4, Islamabad, Pakistan. 2. Registration fee at the time of application submission (Non-refundable): PKR 1000 3. Certicate fee at the time of joining (Non-refundable): PKR 500 *Applicants have to submit a bank draft of PKR 1000 in favor of HRD Network along with this application form. The envelop should be marked asSIP 2012 Application. Cross cheque will not be accepted.
