SECTION 2 : IMPORTANT NOTES

1. This project is for producing 2 x 50 m 3/hr (2400 m3/day) Cooling tower make-up water with expected Electrical
Conductivity < 300 µS/cm for NGL plant (package-A) and 2 x 75 m3/hr (3600 m3/day) Drinking water with
expected TDS < 200 ppm for Oil Center (Package-B).
2. Source of Raw Water is from borewell with TDS 3236 ppm at NGL plant and 3386 ppm at Oil Center.
3. PACT has considered a single pass RO system with Multimedia filtration (automatic), Activated Carbon Filter
(automatic) & micron filtration as pretreatment with necessary chemical dosing units for both the packages.
4. The proposed RO system has been designed at a 75% recovery basis for both the packages.
5. PACT has considered the following equipment:
 Filter feed Tank
 Filter Feed Pumps
 Chemical Dosing Systems: Pre-Chlorination
 Multimedia Filters (Automatic Operation)
 Activated Carbon Filters in series (Automatic Operation)
 Air Scouring Blowers for Multimedia Filters
 Filter Backwash pumps
 Filtered Water Tank (offline tank)
 Chemical Dosing Systems: Antiscalant, and SMBS dosing system
 Micron Cartridge Filters
 High Pressure Pump
 RO Pressure Vessels & SWRO Membranes
 RO Flushing & CIP System
 RO product water transfer pumps
 Waste Water collection tank
 Waste Water Transfer pumps
 Chemical Dosing Systems: pH adjustment & post-Chlorine dosing system
 Related Instruments, Valves, piping, fittings & cabling.

6. The RO system has been designed with raw water temperature of 15-35°C.
7. All high-pressure piping material in RO feed will be SS316 & RO reject will be Duplex SS.
8. low-pressure piping material will be as follows:
 Upstream of MMF: UPVC
 MMF frontal & Downstream of MMF: CPVC
 Backwash waste line: Transparent PVC tubing
 Air Scouring: CS
 Chemical Dosing line: CPVC

9. PACT offer considered MCP panel (Form 2: IP 54) with simplex PLC & HMI.
10. The cable from MCP to each motor, instrument, and valve will be unarmored.
11. We have considered an unclassified safe area for both the new RO plants and accordingly designed the
Instruments, Motors, Actuators, panel & other electrical equipment etc.
12. Proposed country of origin is as per Section 6: Equipment Makes and Origin.
