Chapter-15 Operation pendulum Summary -As

final exam approaches Ryan plans to steal test paper from prof. Cherians office. -Alok didnt agree with Ryan idea of stealing. -Alok thinks that idea of stealing term paper is just nonsense ,as they might also get resticated for such action,if they get caught. -Ryan didnt listen to Alok but also convices Hari to participate in his plan. -Ryan greeds Hari by saying your girl will finally not be ashamed to acknowledge you and it wont look so bad on your grade sheet when you apply for a job.

-Finally ,they all agree with Ryans plan . -Ryan plans to bungee jump from ninth floor of his hostel to sixth floor of Cherians office. -But Alok Questions Ryan if he is able to enter the prof.Cherian office ,how he will open the locker in which term paper is being held. -Hari gives an idea he can arrange the keys from Neha and duplicate them. -Ryan,Alok & Hari are very happy with their plan. -They name whole of their opertion as OPERATON PENDULUM

CHARACTER SKETCH

ALOK: A good student and a son who wants to end his familys miseries, and lives for his family. In this part of the story he plays the part of a critic as he doesnt like ryans idea to steal the question papers but, in the end agrees for the sake of friendship and to help hari to succeed in his love.

HARI: A good friend, who always keeps his friends together and a
lover who wants to succeed in his love. Here in this episode he makes the master plan on ryans idea to steal the question papers.

RYAN:The smartest of the three friends, son of rich parents who

never got parents love. He lives his life for his friends and thinks differently from the current system which he strongly dislikes. He always motivates his friends to do something of their own. And this time he prepares the blueprint of OPERATION PENDULUM.

THEME
This chapter tells a single thing EVERY THING IS FAIR IN WAR, LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP. At first alok refuses to involve in the so called operation pendulum which they name after , but he also finally agrees. They have a single logic of ryan, if they are caught then they are guilty. If not, then nothing is wrong. And their main motive was to make hari succeed in his love by making a good impression on prof.cherian ,nehas father, while scoring good marks in indem. On the other hand alok and ryan will get some grades also. The three friends decided together to work on operation pendulum, not caring for consequences ,but for the sake of their friendship and hoping that their fortunes will work for them.
