No other brand can claim such a strong commitment to quality, reliability and durability. Miele dishwashers are designed and tested for one load a day for 20 years. Tests include: Running a 75C programme for 7,500 cycles this equates to one load a day for more than 20 years. Putting the door through 100,000 operating and closing cycles the equivalent of 13 cycles a day for more than 20 years. Pulling baskets out and pushing them back in 100,000 times fully loaded which equates to one wash a day for more than 273 years! Features and benefits

Quiet as a whisper Miele dishwashers are amongst the quietest you can find with some operating at a sound power of a mere 41 decibels dB(A) re 1 pW. To truly understand how quiet they are you have to hear one for yourself.

Salt container in the door With the container conveniently located in the door, instead of inside the cabinet beneath the bottom basket, salt is easy to replenish on models with this feature.

The Detergent function Combination tabs are becoming increasingly popular. By letting the dishwasher know what type of detergent you are using, you can be assured your glassware and crockery gets the best treatment.

Child resistant door lock Most Miele dishwashers have a special switch in the handle recess, which can be turned to prevent young children from opening the door and accessing the cabinet and detergent dispensers.

Waterproof anti-leak system This system features a double-skinned inlet hose and a double solenoid valve which is attached directly to the stopcock. If water leaks between the two skins in the hose, the solenoid valve will automatically shut off the water supply within seconds, protecting you from water damage.

Flow meter and safety shut off All Miele dishwashers have a flow meter in the water inlet which electronically measures exactly how much water enters the machine. This ensures just the right amount of water for the programme selected, even with fluctuating water pressure levels.

SensorDry As the drying performance of a dishwasher always depends on the ambient temperature and the load size, different conditions can easily impair the drying performance. SensorDry ensures perfect drying results in the Sensor wash programme irrespective of the ambient room temperature or the load size, making Miele dishwashers with this feature among the most intelligent on the market.

AutoClose Using a similar mechanism to that used by car manufacturers for closing doors and boots automatically, the new AutoClose feature from Miele allows you to close your dishwasher door effortlessly. No more than gentle contact between the door and the casing is needed to close the door.

Variable spray pressure Some dishwasher models now have a professional variable speed pump which works at different speeds depending on whether the programme is designed for normal soiling, light soiling or heavy soiling, thus ensuring excellent care of your crockery and glassware. The introduction of this new electronic variable speed circulation pump has also enabled sound emissions to come down to an amazingly quiet 41 dB(A) re1pW.

Turbo function The Turbo function reduces the duration of programmes by an average of 30% by modifying temperatures in the main wash and the final rinse and by reducing holding times in the rinse cycle. The slight increase in temperatures ensures the same cleaning and drying performance as in the standard programmes.

Drying plus With the new Drying plus setting the door opens by about 10 cm at the end of a programme to allow residual steam to escape from the cabinet and let the user know that the programme has finished. The fan, located in the dishwasher plinth, continues to run at the end of the programme to ensure excellent drying results on difficult to dry items such as plastics and cups.

Add-an-item How often have you put the dishwasher on, and then come across another item that needs to be washed as well? A helpful prompt on top of the range dishwashers will appear in the display when you open the door to let you know whether items can still be added without compromising wash results.

Features and benefits

Automatic load recognition Mieles intelligent load recognition feature permits the correct amount of water to enter the dishwasher every time, enabling water consumption to be reduced by up to 16% for a small load, and increased for large loads. Its good for the environment and good for your hip pocket!

Heat pump A powerful pump circulates water continually through the heater to ensure that it maintains the correct temperature. Because the heater elements are concealed, heat sensitive items can be placed in the bottom basket.

Active drying After the last rinse cycle, the warm, moist air inside the machine is condensed against the cabinet walls. No external air enters the cabinet which means it is a very clean drying process and there is no turbothermic grill on the outside to clutter the design.

Reduced water consumption Clever use of technology enables optimum wash results to be achieved with only minimum water consumption. Some models have achieved a 4-star WELS rating when tested under the relevant Australian Standards. For details, please refer to www.waterrating.gov.au.

Triple filter system A unique triple filter system ensures you get excellent results whilst using water and energy efficiently. The coarse, fine and micro-fine filters retain any residues to keep the circulating water filtered and clean. The base of the filter is hinged, giving easy access for cleaning, and some models also feature a special LED on the control panel to remind you when to clean the filter.

iF Product Design Award In 2005, renown International Forum Design Hannover awarded Miele's G 1000/2000 generation of dishwashers the coveted Product Design Award in the category Household. The judges favoured that ...it combines good looks, a simple operating philosophy and innovative technology in one and the same unit... The product is ideally suited to the requirements of today's market and sets new standards in terms of basket flexibility (e.g. new sectioned cutlery tray, removable inserts and height-adjustable baskets), a choice of two cabinet heights, display controls and efficient programmes.

Sensors Not knowing which programme to use for different types of soiling levels of crockery and glassware has all too frequently resulted in users simply selecting the longest programme with the highest temperature as a last resort often to the detriment of the load being washed. Glass in particular reacts very sensitively to soft water and excessively high temperatures. Miele dishwashers have a sensor to overcome these problems.

EcoSensor Models with a single SensorWash programme feature an EcoSensor which uses a light beam to measure the murkiness or turbidity of the water, and uses the information to adapt the programme to the degree of soiling by either reducing or increasing the number of water changes. Should you inadvertently select an inappropriate programme for the level of soiling on the dishes, your dishwasher will compensate for this to produce the best possible wash results.

AutoSensor Models with the Sensor wash and Sensor wash gentle programmes feature an Auto Sensor. This sensor can differentiate between particles and bubbles for even more accurate results. The Auto Sensor can read this information and influence the water consumption, programme duration and temperature, taking out all the guesswork involved for a truly automatic programme.

The GlassCare system To protect your glassware, the Miele GlassCare system includes a unique sensor controlled water softener, which electronically controls the hardness level of the water entering the cabinet at wash temperatures of up to 55C. In addition, the new baskets offer a variety of secure positions in which to place the glasses.

GlassCare LED Some models have a GlassCare LED on the control panel, which will light up if the main wash temperature of the programme selected is less than 55C. If you are not sure whether the programme selected is suitable for glassware, you can simply rely on this LED to let you know you have selected the right programme. On models with the PLUS-display, the GlassCare symbol is shown in the display.

Baskets and inserts

Unique cutlery tray Clever design makes a unique third wash level possible in Mieles SC model dishwashers. This takes the form of a unique slide-out cutlery tray. Because each item sits securely in its own slot, it doesnt touch any other piece of cutlery, and water runs off freely, assuring you of excellent washing and drying results. You can even wash stainless steel and silver cutlery in the same load without damaging your silverware. The cutlery tray is safer, too. Sharp knives and utensils can be placed in the tray with no dangerous edges exposed. And because you dont need to touch knife blades or fork and spoon heads, germs dont pass from your hands to clean cutlery, so loading and unloading is much more hygienic than with a basket.

Two in one: the divided cutlery tray The original just got better! Some dishwashers feature the divided cutlery tray. Each part of the cutlery tray (which is divided 1/3 and 2/3) is individually removable. So when you need to, you can remove a section and place long stemmed glasses in the upper basket, leaning them safely against the glass supports on the left hand side. Then the rest of the cutlery tray can be filled as normal.

Adjustable upper basket Models with the cutlery tray also offer the benefit of a height adjustable upper basket with a hinged cup rack. Simply grasp the handles on either side, and the basket can be raised or lowered or even set on a slant to suit the height of the dishes you want to load.

Versatility in the upper basket:

Glass support The special design of the hinged glass support keeps long stemmed glasses securely in place.

Removable plate supports These can be removed to make way for alternative inserts or larger dishes.

Height adjustable upper basket The upper basket is height adjustable to make best use of the space within the dishwasher.

Height adjustable cup rack Cups and glasses vary greatly in shape and size. Tall coffee mugs, tumblers and cappuccino cups each require a different amount of space. The height of the cup rack in the upper basket can be altered according to the items to be washed. And as you expect from Miele, the baskets and cup racks are made of a high quality material, and not the sort of plastic you may find elsewhere.

Versatility in the lower basket:

Two removable inserts with cup holders The two vario inserts in the lower basket can easily be removed when you require more standing space for large containers or when you wish to use an alternative insert. The hinged cup racks offer additional space for cups and secure positioning for long stemmed glasses.

Removable bottle holder Bottles, vases and other tall, slim items require a place where they cant tip over. The bottle holder ensures they are held firmly in position and can be removed when necessary.

Special inserts Because inserts are removable and have folding features, you can place all manner of different items in both the upper and lower baskets. Our unsurpassed range of inserts can be found in the section Accessories.

Controls

Miele dishwashers offer a range of different control options so you can find the one to suit your lifestyle and design requirements. They all feature Novotronic controls, which were developed and made in our own factories. Because they are fully electronic, there is less wear and tear to the control system.

They offer a wide range of intelligent programmes including special programmes with user friendly names to make the chore of choosing the right programme a thing of the past. The appliances also use intelligent technology to adapt to circumstances and make the most economical use of electricity, water and salt.

Entry-level models have the controls and display elements positioned in the centre of the fascia panel for easy and logical programme selection.

They have simple to use selector buttons together with pushbutton controls for On/Off and Start. Other features include programme sequence indicator lights to let

you know how the programme is progressing and check lights to remind you when to replenish the salt and rinse aid.

Going up the range, a time left display and a delay start functions are introduced. More advanced models feature a sophisticated display panel which provides more detailed programme information.

The controls on selected models are set at an ergonomic angle, making them extremely easy to read and use from a standing position.

Topping the range is the G 2832 SCi with the large Navitronic PLUS display and user friendly sensor touch controls. The display is in clear text and intuitively guides you through the programme selection process. The controls are easy to operate at a mere touch and being flush, are easy to keep clean.

Wider ranging programme choice is also offered on this model including special programmes, many of which are named to suit the type of load they are designed for such as Plastics and Pasta. Programme parameters can be tailored to include features such as a pre-wash or a soak, and you can even programme the display to list your favourites first.

This model also introduces an info button which will give you tips and guidance on what programme to use.

With the fully integrated models, the controls are discreetly concealed from view when you dont need to see them. The entry-level model offers simple push button controls and check lights to remind you when to replenish salt and rinse aid.

Going up the range, a time left display is introduced together with a delay start option and a tab button to optimise the programme to the type of detergent being used.

The flagship model in the range offers a large clear text display and scroll buttons for programme selection as well as an info button which will give you tips and guidance on which programme to use.

Programmes

Sensor wash gentle A special sensor controlled programme with particular emphasis on glass care. Glasses and temperature sensitive china are washed perfectly and gently. Even stubborn lipstick stains are removed.

Quick wash This programme is perfect for lightly soiled dishes, for instance during a party when the dishes need to be used again. With very short running times, they can be back on the table in around 30 minutes.

Light wash This programme has a shorter wash time for lightly to normally soiled crockery and is gentle on glassware too.

Normal This programme is suitable for everyday loads of lightly or normally soiled dishes.

Sensor wash This programme uses EcoSensor technology to monitor the turbidity of the water in the cabinet and uses this information to adjust the amount of water used and the temperature required, and in doing so optimises programme running times and energy usage.

Sensor wash with SensorDry This programme uses AutoSensor technology to monitor the turbidity of the water and detect particles. The temperature, water intake, programme duration and electricity consumption are all automatically adjusted to suit the level of soiling.

Pots & Pans This programme includes a pre-wash followed by a main wash at 75C and is suitable for pots, pans and crockery with dried-on soiling.

Intensive This programme is suitable for heavily soiled crockery and uses a pre-rinse to loosen dried-on starchy residues before running both the main wash and rinses at 65C.

Pre-wash Useful for rinsing off food residues while waiting for a full load to collect. This prevents food from drying on and causing a build-up of unpleasant smells.

Without heater This programme is suitable for everyday loads of lightly or normally soiled dishes and is designed for connection to a warm water supply. Because the machine does not heat the water itself, the energy consumption is reduced.

Glasses quick/Glasses warm These programmes are ideal for glasses. Because they do not use rinse aid, there is no residue left on the glasses to spoil your enjoyment.

Tall items This programme is suitable for washing tall or oversized items in the bottom basket only.

Hygiene This programme holds temperatures of up to 70C for longer periods to remove bacteria from baby bottles, chopping boards, utensils etc. Statement from the WfK Institute for Applied Research in Germany: The Hygiene programme on the Miele test machine G 1530 SCi is to be recommended for the hygienic cleaning of items where a high level of hygiene is required, as well as for eliminating bacteria

EnergySave This programme is the ideal choice for everyday, mixed loads. It is also very suitable for modern, environmentally friendly, chlorine free detergents.

Plastics The optimum programme for dishwasher proof plastic items, including toys and food containers.

Freestanding dishwashers Freestanding dishwashers are the most economical choice in Mieles current range and are available with a white fascia panel and door. These dishwashers can be placed into position just about anywhere in the kitchen. The lid on the top of Miele freestanding dishwashers may offer useful additional bench space. When building a freestanding dishwasher into a suitable cabinet recess underneath the kitchen bench, it is possible to remove the appliance lid by installing the optional UBS-G conversion kit.

Build-under dishwashers Build-under dishwashers are supplied without lid and are designed to be installed underneath a continuous kitchen benchtop. Thanks to their pre-fitted stainless steel control panel as well as a stainless steel front, they are designed to harmoniously blend in with any well-made kitchen.

Integrated dishwashers Integrated dishwashers are supplied with a modular fascia panel which depending on model may be available in a white, black, stainless steel or aluminium finish. They are designed to be fitted with either an optional stainless steel front (available as an optional accessory at extra cost) or a cabinet door panel (to be supplied by the cabinet maker or kitchen manufacturer). Thanks to their height- and depth-adjustable plinth, they will seamlessly blend in with the kitchen of your choice.

Fully integrated dishwashers The latest trend in modern kitchen design. All Miele fully integrated dishwashers feature a concealed stainless steel fascia panel which is not visible when the door is closed. They are supplied ready to be fitted with either an optional stainless steel front (available as an optional accessory at extra cost) or a full-height cabinet door panel (to be supplied by the cabinet maker or kitchen manufacturer). They offer the same plinth adjustments as the integrated models but are completely out of sight when not in use.

Slimline dishwashers Where space is at a premium and for households with specific requirements, Miele offer a range of slimline dishwashers which are only 45 cm wide. All Miele slimline dishwashers offer a generous capacity of 10 place settings and match the relevant 60 cm wide counterparts in terms of quality, performance and design. Miele Australia currently offers 45 cm wide dishwashers as freestanding, build-under or fully integrated machines. These slimline dishwashers are the ideal choices as either the main dishwasher in smaller kitchens, as an additional dishwasher for the bar or entertainment area in larger homes, or even as a side by side combination of two 45 cm wide dishwashers next to each other, giving you utmost flexibility with the facility to wash individual loads with up to 20 place settings total capacity in a 90 cm wide cabinet recess.

Dcor set for building under GDU 60/60-1 The GDU 60/60-1 dcor set is designed to convert an integrated dishwasher with a white or black fascia panel to a build-under version. The dcor set can accommodate dcor inserts which are 585 mm wide, 605 mm tall and up to 4 mm thick. The set is supplied with a depth-adjustable plinth.

Stainless steel door panel GFV 60/57-1 The GFV 60/57-1 stainless steel door panels is designed to complement all G 1002/G 2002 series 60 cm wide integrated dishwashers with a stainless steel fascia panel. The door panel is 600 mm wide and 570 mm tall.

Stainless steel door panels GFVi xxx/xx-1 The range of GFVi xxx/xx-1 stainless steel door panels are designed to complement fully integrated dishwashers. Eye-level installation

In many sophisticated kitchen designs, eye-level installation of 60 cm wide dishwashers is becoming an increasingly popular option.

Raising the dishwasher off the floor means no more bending down when loading or unloading the lower basket. In this type of installation, the controls will also be at a more convenient working height, easier to see and operate.
