Before checking any hydraulic pressure make sure that hydraulic oil tank is having sufficient hydraulic oil, and Hydraulic oil is
clean and visibility is good.

Plug all pipes, hoses and connections when removing.

Always handle oils and other environmentally hazardous fluids in an environmentally safe manner.

Checking system pressure

1. Place the machine in service position. Refer to Service position 1.

2. Open the operator seat platform to access the air filter access cover.

3. Secure the operator seat platform with seat stopper rod.

4. Remove the engine access cover.

5. Locate the system pressure measuring ports on the propulsion pump.

WARNING
Work carefully when removing it. There could be hot oil/oil under pressure in the line.

6. Clean around the propulsion pump system pressure port “M1” plug and remove the plug.

7. Install the minimess coupling to the propulsion pump system pressure port “M1”.

8. Connect Pressure test hose and 11666022 Pressure gauge to the minimess coupling at port “M1” on propulsion pump.

9. Start the engine and run at low idle for two minutes.

10. Check all the hydraulic connections and make sure that there are no leakages.

11. Run the engine at high RPM for 10 minutes, till the hydraulic oil reaches operating temperature.

NOTE!
Apply parking brake while checking the pressure.

NOTE!
Do not operate propulsion control lever more than 5 seconds, while pressing the parking brake test switch.
12. While parking brake is in applied condition, hold the parking brake test switch pressed and move the propulsion control
lever to complete forward direction.

13. Note down the pressure gauge reading on propulsion pump port “M1”.
Nominal value : 40.1Mpa (5816 psi, 401 bar).

14. Bring back the propulsion control lever to STOP position.

15. Bring the engine to low RPM and run for two minutes.

16. Shut down the engine.

17. Remove pressure gauge from the minimess coupling on port “M1” of propulsion pump.

18. Remove minimess coupling from the system pressure port “M1” on propulsion pump.

19. Fix back the plug on port “M1” on propulsion pump.

20. Clean around the plug on port “M1” on propulsion pump for oil leakage.

21. Fix back the engine access cover with mountings.

22. Remove the seat stopper rod and place back the operator seat.

Checking charge pump pressure

WARNING
Work carefully when removing it. There could be hot oil/oil under pressure in the line.

23. Place a suitable container below the propulsion pump.

24. Identify and locate the hose, connecting brake valve and propulsion pump, and disconnect the hose connection to
propulsion pump, and plug the disconnected hose immediately.

25. Connect E-tool (E-7012) to the charge pressure port of the propulsion pump.

26. Connect disconnected hose to E-tool (E-7012) at charge pressure port on propulsion pump.

27. Connect pressure test hose and 11666019 Pressure gauge to the E-tool (E-7012) at charge pressure port on propulsion
pump.

28. Start the engine and run at low RPM for two minutes.

29. Check the hydraulic connections and make sure that there are no leakages.

30. Run the engine at high RPM for 10 minutes, till the hydraulic oil reaches operating temperature.

NOTE!
Apply parking brake while checking the pressure.

NOTE!
Do not operate propulsion control lever more than 5 seconds, while pressing the parking brake test switch.

31. While parking brake is in applied condition, hold the parking brake test switch pressed and move the propulsion control
lever to complete forward direction.

32. Note down the pressure gauge reading.


Nominal value : 2.5 Mpa (362.5 psi, 25 bar).

33. Bring back the propulsion control lever to STOP position.

34. Bring the engine to low RPM and run for two minutes.

35. Shut down the engine.

36. Remove pressure gauge form E-tool (E-7012) at charge port on propulsion pump.

37. Remove the hose, connecting brake valve and propulsion pump at the E-tool (E-7012).

WARNING
Work carefully when removing it. There could be hot oil/oil under pressure in the line.

38. Remove the E-tool at the charge port on propulsion pump.

39. Connect the hose, connecting brake valve and propulsion pump to the charge port.

System pressure and working pressure of vibration pump

40. Locate the system pressure port “M1” and “M2” on vibration pump.

41. Park the machine, keeping drum on a rubber mat.

42. Clean around the system pressure ports on vibration pump.

43. Place suitable container below the vibration pump.

WARNING
Work carefully when removing it. There could be hot oil/oil under pressure in the line.
44. Remove the plugs of system pressure ports “M1” and “M2” on vibration pump.

45. Install minimess coupling on both “M1” and “M2” ports on vibration pump.

46. Connect the11666022 Pressure gauge on both the ports “M1” and “M2” on vibration pump.

47. Start the engine and run at low RPM for two minutes.

48. Check the hydraulic connections and make sure that there are no leakages.

49. Run the engine at high RPM for 10 minutes, till the hydraulic oil reaches operating temperature.

NOTE!
Apply parking brake while checking the pressure.

50. Move the vibration control lever to forward/high amplitude vibration position.
NOTE!
When a vibration control lever is moved forward/high amplitude vibration position, pressure rises initially for a moment
due to initial torque required to rotate the eccentric assembly, which is a system pressure and pressure drops to
working pressure after it reaches to steady state.

51. Note down the readings of the pressure connected to port “M1” on vibration pump.
Nominal value for system pressure 30 Mpa (4351 psi, 300 bar)
and
Nominal value for working pressure 13 Mpa (1885 psi, 130 bar).

52. Bring back the vibration control lever to neutral position.

53. Move the vibration control lever to reverse/low amplitude vibration position.
NOTE!
When a vibration control lever is moved backward/low amplitude vibration position, pressure rises initially for a
moment due to initial torque required to rotate the eccentric assembly, which is a system pressure and pressure drops
to working pressure, after it reaches to steady state.

54. Note down the readings of the pressure connected to port “M2” on vibration pump.
Nominal value for system pressure 30 Mpa (4351 psi, 300 bar) and
Nominal value for working pressure 13 Mpa (1885 psi, 130 bar).

55. Bring back vibration control lever to neutral position.

56. Bring the engine to low RPM and run for two minutes.

57. Shut down the engine.

58. Remove pressure s from the minimess coupling on ports “M1” and “M2” of vibration pump.

WARNING
Work carefully when removing it. There could be hot oil/oil under pressure in the line.

59. Remove minimess couplings from the ports “M1” and “M2” of vibration pump.

60. Fix back the plugs to the ports “M1” and “M2” on vibration pump.

61. Start the engine and run the engine at low RPM for two minutes.

62. Check the hydraulic connections and make sure that there are no leakages.
63. Shut down the engine.

64. Clean around the vibration pump ports “M1” and “M2” for any leakages.

65. Dispose the oil collected in the container in an environmentally safe manner.

Vibration pump charge pressure

66. Locate the charge pressure port on the vibration pump.

WARNING
Work carefully when removing it. There could be hot oil/oil under pressure in the line.

67. Clean around the minimess coupling.

68. Connect pressure test hose and 11666019 Pressure gauge to the minimess coupling with on the port “M3”.

69. Start the engine and run at low RPM for two minutes.

70. Check the hydraulic connections and make sure that there are no leakages.

71. Run the engine at high RPM for 10 minutes, till the hydraulic oil reaches operating temperature.

NOTE!
Apply parking brake while checking the pressure.

72. Note down the pressure gauge reading on port “M3”.


Nominal value : 1.6 MPa (232 psi, 16 bar).

73. Bring back the engine to low RPM and run for two minutes.

74. Shut down the engine.

WARNING
Work carefully when removing it. There could be hot oil/oil under pressure in the line.

75. Remove the pressure test hose from minimess with pressure coupling on port “M3”.

76. Clean for any leakages.

77. Start the engine and run at low RPM for two minutes.

78. Check for leakages.

79. Shut down the engine.

Steering pump relief pressure on LH steering cylinder

WARNING
Work carefully when removing it. There could be hot oil/oil under pressure in the line.

80. Identify the hose connected between port “L” of steering valve and LH steering cylinder, and disconnect the hose from
LH steering cylinder,and plug the disconnected hose immediately.

81. Connect the E-tool (E-7013) to the LH steering cylinder.

82. Connect 11666003 Pressure gauge to the E-tool (E-7013) on LH steering cylinder.

83. Remove the plug from disconnected hose and connect it to E-tool (E-7013) on LH steering cylinder.

84. Start the engine and run the engine at low RPM for two minutes.

85. Check the hydraulic connections and make sure that there are no leakages.

86. Run the engine at high RPM for 10 minutes, till the hydraulic oil reaches operating temperature.

87. Turn the steering wheel complete left.

88. Note down the reading on pressure gauge on LH steering cylinder E-tool (E-7013).
Nominal value:18.5 MPa (2683 psi, 185 bar).

89. Turn the steering wheel back to neutral position.

90. Shut down the engine.


WARNING
Work carefully when removing it. There could be hot oil/oil under pressure in the line.

91. Remove the pressure gauge from the E-tool (E-7013) on LH steering cylinder.

92. Remove the hose connected to E-tool (E-7013).

93. Remove E-tool (E-7013) from the LH steering cylinder.

94. Connect the disconnected hose from port “L” of steering valve to LH steering cylinder.

95. Start the engine and run at low RPM for two minutes.

96. Check the LH steering cylinder hydraulic connections and make sure that there are no leakages.

Steering pump relief pressure on RH steering cylinder

97. Identify the hose connected between port “R” of steering valve and LH steering cylinder, and disconnect the hose from
RH steering cylinder and plug the disconnected hose immediately.

98. Connect the E-tool (E-7013) to the RH steering cylinder.

99. Connect 11666003 Pressure gauge to the E-tool (E-7013) on RH steering cylinder.

100. Remove the plug from disconnected hose and connect it to E-tool (E-7013) on RH steering cylinder.

101. Start the engine and run the engine at low RPM for two minutes.

102. Check the hydraulic connections and make sure that there are no leakages.

103. Run the engine at high RPM for 10 minutes, till the hydraulic oil reaches operating temperature.

104. Turn the steering wheel complete right side.

105. Note down the reading on pressure gauge on RH steering cylinder E-tool (E-7013).
Nominal value:18.5 MPa (2683 psi, 185 bar).

106. Turn the steering wheel back to neutral position.

107. Shut down the engine.

108. Remove the pressure gauge from the E-tool (E-7013) on RH steering cylinder.

109. Remove the hose connected to E-tool (E-7013).

110. Remove E-tool (E-7013) from the RH steering cylinder.

111. Connect the disconnected hose from port “R” of steering valve to RH steering cylinder.

112. Start the engine and run at low RPM for two minutes.

113. Check the RH steering cylinder hydraulic connections and make sure that there are no leakages.

114. Place the machine back in service.
