What is the APA format?

The APA format is the style for organizing and presenting works and research.

used worldwide, these standards were published under a manual that facilitates access to

an individual to the ways in which an article should be published. Over time, there have been

7 versions of the manual have been published, all with the intention of coding various components of the

writing to facilitate and organize the contents of a document; the seventh version of

the manual was actually published with the intention of facilitating and simplifying the writing

preparation of research articles and student papers.

How is an APA format document organized?

The seventh edition APA format includes a title page, text and

references, in certain cases additional elements can also be included, such as tables and

figures, depending on the assignment, but the organization of the pages that is maintained is:

Cover

The general rules that are maintained for the preparation of the cover are the

letter size throughout the document and the corresponding measurements are 8.5 x 11.0

inches and the margins must measure 1 inch that is 2.54cm.

Cover for students:

Include the title of the work, the name of the author, the name of the faculty and

from the institution where the person is located, course name,

teacher's name, the document submission date and the number of

page at the top of the document.

Cover for professionals:

The document includes the page number at the top and a

What are the guidelines that should be followed in an APA style document?
