Class-XI: Psychology

PART-A
Undertake a project/small study involving the use of different methods of enquiry like
observation, movie analysis, survey, interview, questionnaire, secondary research from the
data available on the internet and other media, case study etc., related to ANY ONE of the
following topics:

● Bullying/Cyberbullying
● Mental health and wellbeing
● Impact of social media on the youth today
● Altruism and its impact on wellbeing
● Peer Pressure
● Anger management
● Sleep Hygiene
● Changing Gender roles and stereotypes
● Cooperation and Competition
● Compliance and Obedience
You may also choose to do a project on any topic covered in the course from your NCERT
textbook (e.g., Human development, Learning, Memory, Motivation, Perception, Attention
and Thinking).

**Note: The above mentioned project should be primarily handwritten in your own
handwriting on A4 sized coloured sheets and creative decoration of your choice (you can
paste internet pictures, newspaper findings, movie highlights etc. related to your topic to
supplement the handwritten content).
The project should be submitted in a proper ring-binder file with an attractive cover page
highlighting the following details on the first day of school reopening after your summer
break-

● PROJECT TOPIC CHOSEN BY YOU
● NAME
● CLASS & SECTION
PART B- Art Integrated Activity: ‘MY IDEA OF MENTAL HEALTH’

Creatively express your understanding of mental health using a visual representation in the
form of a handmade collage or poster on an A3 sized sheet related to the theme:

“My Idea of Mental Health”.


Value Points to be kept in mind for Poster/Collage Art-Integrated Activity:

● Use magazine cuttings, newspaper articles, printed quotes/images, doodling,


drawings, mandala art or photos.
● Express a central idea or quote (e.g., “Mental Health is Health”, “It’s Okay to Not Be
Okay”, “Mind Matters”)
● Showcase some Positive mental health practices to take care of your mind (e.g.,
journaling, talking to someone, mindfulness, therapy)
● Challenges people face related to their mental health and the power of seeking
professional help for handling the same (e.g., anxiety, stress, Depression, loneliness)
● Use Symbols related to psychology and mental health to make the art work more
expressive (brain, heart, masks, support hands, peace signs, etc.)
● Quotes from psychologists or mental health advocates.
● Color psychology: Use different colors to represent emotions (e.g., blue for calm, red
for stress, yellow for hope).
● Mention your Name, Class & section at the back of the A3-sized poster/collage work.
