In the past time, I struggled a lot when I am planning a preschool science lesson plans.

I am afraid of science because I think it is complicated experiments. But by the time when I am thinking further, preschool science is just the real world and everyday experiences. Science is the water boiling, science is raindrop falling, and even children grow taller is a science! Through science children learn many skills such as : explore, observe, experiment, predict outcomes and learn how to solve the problem.Children must learn from real experiences and concrete objects. In planning your preschool science lesson plans you must emphasis on these skills :asking questions, making research, communicating with others, predict outcomes, classifying and observing. These skills are very important for childrens future. You can do your preschool science activities in the classroom, at every area of your classroom, in the art center, while mixing colors, in math center while measuring their height, and even in science center itself. You can do your science activity outside the classroom, at the playground or at the school neighborhood. Provide some materials to attract childrens attention in the science center :

In my view teaching practice was really interesting and enjoyable experienceI really enjoyed constructing my portfolio for assessmentI was more involved and thinking critically to find samples of my good teaching to put in my portfolio. I was less tense about observations of my teaching because my portfolio was there to prove how I taught. I enjoyed my teaching practice very much. ( Teaching practice gave me confidence of teaching in a real classroomI have been reflecting and thinking on my teaching so much My supervisor teacher really helped me to become an affective teacher.she helped me to become an organize myself and organize my classes.she created a sense of competition and proving myself as teacher The single thought that some one sitting in my classroom observing my teaching and assessing it, make me forget to teachand I can not make them convinced I can teach even better. but I am sure when they will have a look at my portfolio they will get to know I am a hard working teaching trying so much in my classroom. the importance of practice teaching

T.P. provides an opportunity to student teachers to face real situation and to see di erence in theory & practice

Prospective science teachers found teaching practices as an opportunity to learn about teaching and to develop their teaching skills. They think teaching practice is important because they could reflect on their own practice and learn from own mistakes in the classroom Without teaching practice how we can develop teaching skills in a person Some of them found teaching practice important because they think it provides start for a continuous professional development Prospective science teachers expressed their feelings of un-comfort while being observed for assessment during teaching practice, they reported feeling nervousness, anxiety, loosing confidence and becoming more conscious about the supervisors thoughts about them instead of concentrating on their teaching. Following are the sample views from prospective science teachers about their feeling of being observed while teaching during T.P. In the beginning I became nervousand felt anxietyI wrote my feelings in my reflections and it was so hard to overcome my anxiety. (ST-3) It [being observed] was really very confusing and frightening situation and I was very conscious because it is natural feeling that if you know that some one is going to observe you, you will become conscious. (ST-1) I felt confusedI was less confidentI [was] more focused on what my teacher is thinking about me than how to teach. (ST-4) I felt like losing confidence and hence could not better communicate. Introduction
Teachers possess incredible gifts. They have the ability to inspire the lives of their students, lead them to the threshold of their minds, open a door of possibilities, and instill in our children a desire to learn. They devote and dedicate their days, and most often their nights, in preparing lesson plans to make learning an adventure. Teaching is their lives, their calling, their passion. And in turn, they have all become magnificent contributors to our community in making a difference in the lives of our children. It truly only takes one teacher who connects with a child to make a difference in that child's life.

Dedication This work is dedicated to my husband, John A. Murphy, without whose caring support it would not have been possible, and to the memory of my parents, Hugh Vincent and Edna Sibley Drummond, who passed on a love of reading and respect for education.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Thanks to a classmate, Heather Tedesco, for providing materials from her doctoral research, from which many questions were drawn for the distractor survey. Special thanks to many friends who cheered me on from the beginning, especially Lisa Stewart, Paula VanBalen, Kelly Harwood, and Renate Roske-Shelton. For the suggestion that planted the seed, thanks to Dr. Robert Holt of George Mason University, a great teacher. And special thanks to my family for their good-natured forebearance with the process and for their pride in this accomplishment. It was a team effort.

Special thanks to the distinguished faculty members who served on my committee: Professors Kent L. Norman (chair), Nancy S. Anderson (Emerita), Michael Dougherty, Katherine J. Klein, Christine M. Mitchell, and Ben Shneiderman. As my advisor, Dr. Norman provided detailed guidance and encouragement throughout the course of preparing for and conducting the research. His belief that it was, indeed, possible to finish kept me going. Dr. Anderson served faithfully on the committee until circumstances prevented her from attending the defense. I am grateful for the helpful comments she provided on the draft. Dr. Dougherty kindly filled in for Dr. Anderson, and he provided insightful comments on short notice. Thanks to all my committee members for their support, patience, encouragement, and useful suggestions.

Narrative Report Well Im back for more teaching practice. So far everythings going smoothly but thechallenge starts next week when I will start to teach. This week I will be doing somepreparation for my teaching . Im glad that I have here my co- student teacher. Ive meta few new colleagues and there are also a couple of familiar faces. For now I only haveone textbook that I would use for teaching. I have met my students and figured out theclassrooms. I would be teaching five classes. Id be teaching Entrepreneurship, which isa big relief because I know a lot in this subjects. I still need to do a few more thingsincluding giving my supervisor a copy of my timetable and the classrooms locations.Yep, this time there will be supervisor to well.. supervise my teaching.I would like to first express my gratitude and excitement at the opportunity to performmy student teaching at your school in Mrs. Lascoas classroom. I am excited to begingaining the experience and lessons of becoming a better teacher for the studentsof today by teaching your classes. Much like your school is prepared to offer aneducation to all and stress the points of responsibly, goal driven schoolwork, planningand time management, and positive attitudes; I too offer those same ideals. I feel allwho wish to gain an education are welcome to it and I am honored to have the chanceto be your teacher. n my previous pre-student teaching observations, where I had thechance to watch experienced teachers conduct their classes and learn firsthandteaching strategies, I feel I have seen a small taste of the education world. I find myself excited and eager to be in front of the classroom where I have always wanted to be.While I have seen various forms of teaching I am feeling ready to begin my own. In mypersonal forms of teaching I value the students opinion and values on the topic of instruction. If a student is engaged in a lesson they are learning, and from this I formedvarious philosophies on the education process. While I am eager to teach many lessonsand provide an education, I am also prepared and excited for lessons I will learn fromthe students, the school, and my cooperating teacher.
