22. i. A student measured a pencil with a metre scale but got the wrong 3+2

ii. If you are sitting in a moving bus, are you at rest or in motion?
23. Clinical thermometer is used by doctors to measure the temperature of 1+1
the human body. Thermometer liquid used in this thermometer is +1+
mercury. It has a stem with an inner capillary tube and a bulb containing 1+1
mercury. The capillary tube has a small bend kink in it. This bend prevents =5
the mercury from getting back into the bulb after the thermometer is
taken out from a patient’s mouth. This enables the doctor to read the
thermometer.To reuse , it has slight jerk which brings the mercury back
into the bulb by flowing past the bend.
