official representatives of Toyota Macedonia, I would like to inform you about the accident I had with the vehicle TOYOTA AURIS (registration plates ST 394 BJ, property of the private company ELINA DOOEL), on 26th March, 2012, on the highway Veles Shtip. I am a proprietor of a private company in Veles, and I live in Shtip. Hence, I have been driving this distance on a daily basis for almost five years now. On 26th March, 2012, while I was driving back home from work, two kilometers before the village of Lozovo, on a straight section of the highway Veles-Shtip, with an average speed of 80 km/hr, my Toyota Auris, at a given point suddenly increased to a great speed, without me controlling it whatsoever, the brakes were not responding at all, and I also could not control the direction of movement. These few seconds I will probably remember for the rest of my life, since I thought at that point that they were my last seconds of life. I can only thank God that in the moment my Toyota Auris went completely out of control, there were no other vehicles on the road. After exiting the highway I hit a tree, which was probably what caused the air bags to open and saved me from a much more serious injury. The vehicle turned upside down twice and ended on its roof. Fortunately, I was conscious all the time, and I managed to pull myself out of the tumbled and almost completely ruined vehicle. After I was given first aid, I was kept in a hospital for a day, where I had examinations, and slight bodily injuries were confirmed, whose consequences I am going to be feeling for a long time in the future. From the police records you will be able to establish the details and the circumstances surrounding the accident, where I would probably be pointed out as the person running the vehicle at the moment of the accident. What I would like to state and prove is that the sole cause of the accident is the complete loss of control of the vehicle itself and the inability to stop it. In all honesty, I am truly happy that I didnt come out if it with much more serious injuries, or even avoiding a fatal outcome of the accident caused by the vehicle that had my complete trust - my Toyota Auris. When all the articles came out in 2010 about the withdrawn Toyota vehicle due to manufacture flaws, I never, in a single moment, thought that this could also happen to my vehicle too (even though I had a similar episode two years ago, but it lasted for very short, and at the service centre I was told that everything was ok with the vehicle).

At this point, I can only regret not taking seriously all the written articles in a rather large number of magazines and newspapers, naively believing that, as an owner of one of the critical Toyota models, I should have full faith in your company and that if there was a need to you would react on time. As your regular client, where I have purchased the vehicle, and where all the regular check- ups had been carried out, I feel it is my duty to inform you about the circumstances of the accident, and I would like to hear your official stance on this, before taking on further steps in the process of the forensics of the vehicle itself. The vehicle has been evaluated by an assessor of the Triglav insurance company and is currently located in Shtip, on a secure parking lot. Your service centre has been informed about the accident and we have spoken to Mr. Rade, but so far we have not received any reactions by your company. I will also address a higher instance, the representatives of Toyota for Europe, since as a bottom line, I have entrusted my own safety in Toyota, a company I dont believe is only declarative when stating that the safety of its clients is its top priority. Finally, I would like to add that, at the moment, my everyday life has been disabled. I am still not feeling very well, I underwent a minor surgical intervention, and I am going to hospital on a daily basis for bandage changes. I would also like to point out that the rehabilitation process will continue for at least a month. During that time my work is suffering. I am constantly faced with financial costs, and I am even facing a lawsuit for endangerment in traffic. If listed as the person who caused the accident I will not have the right to claim damage fee by the insurance company, on the grounds of suffered injuries, except for the vehicle, which is Casco insured. I will not accept the responsibility for the accident, and I will do everything within my power to prove that the sole cause for the accident is my vehicle Toyota Auris. I feel like I have been let down by my best friend in the last four years. I am not certain that I will succeed in that. At the moment, I am only certain that I will never drive a vehicle manufactured by Toyota; since I am not certain if the next time God will be so merciful towards me.
