Phillip Garrido and his wife Nancy are the husband and wife team that were recently charged with kidnapping 11-year-old Jaycee Lee Dugard in 1991. Authorities said they held her and two children she had with Phillip Garrido as prisoners in a backyard encampment. Jaycee Lee Dugard, a White girl, had been kept captive with the two girls, ages 11 and 15, in a series of filthy tents and sheds hidden behind the Antioch, Calif., home of Phillip and Nancy Garrido. The children were told that Nancy Garrido was their mother and their real biological mother, Jaycee Lee Dugard, was their sister. The children have never seen a doctor, have never gone to school, were kept in complete isolation and are considered to be illiterate. The Po-Po called it an organizational failure in November 2006, when a Black neighbor called 911 to report that Garrido was psychotic, that there were people living in tents in his backyard and that children could be heard there. The Black neighbors phone call was not whole heartedly, but briefly followed up and then

dungeons and thrown in the filthy holes of slave ships. The ones that died during the passage across the Atlantic, were thrown to the sharks and those that survived, were presented like animals for sale on auction blocks in the Colonies. These kidnapped Africans were taken to a land as less than human, classified & counted as property in chains and had to work from sun up to sun down for at least 10 generations, held as captives on plantations with 0 wages, forced to live in more squalor and even more filth than Jaycee Lee Dugard and her 2 children. A great many of the kidnapped African women and men were raped, sodomized and murdered. Laws were passed to keep the kidnapped Africans illiterate. Let this travesty and trauma serve as a reminder that Reparations must stay on the table. White people feel that Jaycee Lee Dugard and her children should be compensated for their trauma, their pain and their suffering, but they still want to ignore and not make just compensation for what was done to kidnapped Africans and what kidnapped Africans did to help make the United States of America the global power it is today. With laws and a lack of humanity to justify our treatment, we suffered through 400 plus years of no wages, degradation and brutally and endured the prolonged insanity of racial hatred directed towards us. This struggle continues to this day and to this time and space that we all live in.
