QUENNIE CHIN SAA SABERON

Quennie Chin is the eldest of two (2) children of which they are all girls. Her father Ireneo N. Saa, Jr., 64 years old is an engineer in the Department of Public Works and Highways, Oroquieta City while her mother Vivian A. Saa, 54 years old is a housewife. She had part of her elementary education at Stella Maris College in Oroquieta City but graduated in Immaculate Conception College La Salle, Ozamiz City on 1993. She graduated on the same school for her high school education on 1997. She proceeded to college at the Misamis University in Ozamiz City and graduated from Commerce major in Business Administration and Business Management in 2001. She also graduated Bachelor of Laws from the same school in 2008. She was an average student while in school. She admitted that she has many friends while studying but she usually went home straight away from class so she could help doing the household chores. Both her parents were disciplinarian and God-fearing. She could still remember the many things her parents taught them and that she is guided by principles. She regards her family as something very special and she is proud to have been raised by that kind of family. It was in the summer of 2000 that she chanced upon Bryan Roy. That was the start of their so called passionate relationship. Everything happened so fast. Because of Bryans assurance, Quennie consented to have sexual contact. Quennies belief that a first time sex is safety was of no avail. She was so worried when she missed her period twice and began experiencing something different. She called Bryan and informed of said situation. Bryan told Quennie to have it aborted. And to keep Bryan from worrying, Quennie told him yes but in reality no such action of abortion was done by Quennie. Continued communication was going on and formulated a plan not to get married. Until the time came, when both their parents knew of their situation, their plan of not getting married was not pursued. The family of Quennie was so surprised and in disbelief of what happened to her.

Quennies parents got angry of what happened and asked her many questions because of disbelief and frustrations. Quennie was so disturbed at those times especially that Bryan kept on telling him not to get marry. It was a natural reaction for Quennies family to contact Bryans family as well as Bryan. Inspite of what they have agreed not to get married, they consented to the desire of both their parents to get married. Pamanhikan followed and they formally became a married couple officially on March 28, 2001 in civil rites. As a married couple by now, they stayed at Bryan parents house and after summer, when Bryan had to go back to Cebu for his schooling, Quennie transferred to her parents house and stayed with them. Quennie tried many times to reach out to her mother, but her mother disliked Quennie. Most of the time her mother did not like to have any conversation to Quennie. But Quennie accepted and understood the way the mother of Bryan treated her. And so came when Quennie delivered their baby through caesarian operation on July 30, 2001 and named her Danielle Julia. Bryan was not there during Quennies operation. Because of Quennies situation, her mother assisted her in the hospital and all throughout. Bryan did not understand Quennie of what was she going through. They have their quarrels and misunderstandings all the time. He wanted to get everything he wanted. The hardest part for Quennie was that Bryan is a mamas boy and so dependent of everything to her mother. Bryan had been remiss in his duties both as a husband and as a father. He had no iniative. Quennie endured all of Bryans shortcomings, but his act of maintaining a mistress was the last straw that prompted Quennie to end their marriage. It was on April 17, 2002 that their marriage broke up. Quennie raised their daughter all alone as Bryan did not give financial support to them, not even a single centavo. She landed a decent and stable job. She is the Court Intepreter of Municipal Trial Court in Cities Branch 1 Oroquieta City and has been connected with said agency for eight (8) years.
