Spring Philanthropy
On March 16th the chapter participated in the Roanoke MDAs 1st St. Pattys Shamrock Pool Tournament held at Corned Beef and Company in downtown Roanoke and helped raise $1,600 for the Roanoke MDA by selling raffle tickets and Get Your Green On trinkets. The single elimination pool tournament saw 25 players compete. Leslie Bauguss of MDA stated this first annual event was A big success for MDA, Corned Beef & Company, Fox 21/27, APA, and Kappa Alpha at Virginia Tech!! The money will support sending two kids to MDA Summer Camp and medical services. Tara McAllister, Corned Beefs Controller said, As we know all know these things grow and grow. I cant wait to see where this will go. Epsilon Eta looks forward to helping the tournament grow in the years ahead. On Sunday March 25th the brothers participated in the MDA Roanoke Muscle Walk to help raise awareness and funds for the muscular dystrophy. The event was a family oriented gathering with light exercise for everyone; children, adults, grandparents, students, corporate teams and more. The brothers helped raise $2,300 for MDA.

In the fall we plan to participate in Delta Delta Deltas Flapjacks and Football, Alpha Delta Pis Safari Hunt and Gamma Phi Betas Crescent Classic as well as continuing to support MDA and other local service activities.
