Problem 3: Shells, Ribs, and Datum Planes

Introduction
The problem will test your knowledge of simple feature creation tools, such as shells and ribs, and the use of datum planes.

should be 150 inches. Shell the cylinder to have a wall thickness of 10 inches, as shown in Figure P3-2. Add a 8 inch thick rib to the inside of the cylinder, as shown in Figure P3-3. Hint: If you designed the cylinder correctly, you should not need to create more datum planes. However, you will need to define the correct planes for drawing the rib.
