Yahweh, is my / light and // my salvation; // Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the // stronghold of my life; // Whom shall I dread? When evildoers draw // near against me, // To eat my flesh. My oppressors and my // enemies, to me, They themselves will // stumble and fall. Though a host should en- // camp against me, My // heart will not fear. Though war should // rise against me, Even then I // will be confident. One thing I will // ask of Yahweh, // This is what I seek; That I may dwell in the // house of Yahweh, All the // days of my life. To behold the // beauty of Yahweh, And to inquire // in his temple. For he conceals me in his booth, in the day of evil. He will hide me in the // shelter of his tent; On a rock // he will lift me up. And then my head shall // be exalted Above my enemies // round about me. And I will sacrifice in his tent sacrifices of // joyous shouting; I will sing and // psalm to Yahweh. Hear Yahweh, // with my voice I call, And be gracious to // me and answer me. To you my heart re- // minds me: Seek my face. Your face, // Yahweh I will seek. Do not // hide your face from me! Do not turn your servant a- // way in anger!
