STUDENTS FINAL EVALUATION QUESTIONNAIRE 2.

All of our students agree that they got involved in this project because they wanted to improve their level of English and because they are keen on meeting people from other countries and visiting new places to get some ideas about different cultures and ways of living. Another important reason to take part was their interest in the environment; they felt they wanted to learn more on this topic and to take some action to help our planet, as well as making more people from our local community aware of the need to protect nature and to recycle, use water wisely, cut down on the use of energy, using public transport instead of their private cars, eating organic food, etc 3. All of our students agree that their participation has been an enriching experience which contributed to their personal and educational development. They had to work in teams and make agreements on how to organize themselves to undertake their tasks. They also point out that having the need to communicate with other students from other countries made them use English in real situations at which they had to manage to make themselves understood. Students also learnt some words from all the languages of the countries involved in the project. What they value most for their personal development was the opportunity to get in touch with different ways of life and cultures, which has made them adapt to different habits and thus become more tolerant.

4. The students got involved in different activities as we tried to share the tasks equally. The ones who were going to take part in the Project Meetings worked more actively on the common researches we did during this project (eating healthy, wise water use, experiments with energy and so on) and sometimes even coordinated other students who were helping too. They all took part enthusiastically in the Recycling contest. They were competing and had to ask lots of people in town for paper, batteries In this way they also disseminated our activity as they explained what they

wanted these articles for. All of them helped us with the preparations for the Spanish meeting and participated on the walking- cycling ride we organized in Badajoz. During this project they have researched using new technologies, they have translated from Spanish into English, they have made PowerPoint presentations, posters, leaflets, scale models etc. In this way they have developed lots of different skills and made work related to different areas of the curriculum.

5. Being in touch with them through the Internet, making them feel at ease when they visited our country and trying to show them our town, our customs, encouraging them to try our food, introducing them to our friends, teaching them some Spanish words. We have also collaborated in some tasks which were made in common during the Project Meetings, such as posters in Greece and PowerPoint presentations in Spain. During each meeting we have also listened to the exposition of results on the work done and we have also displayed ours.

6. All students agree the best experience from this project was meeting young people from other countries and sharing with them different experiences: working, visiting monuments, having fun together, discussing topics, getting to know their partners familiesThey remark they sometimes felt like a big family and will never forget this experience and the people they met. One of our students claims this project has changed his life. Most of our students still keep in touch with their partners and they are even planning to meet again.
