Elevated Work Platform (Under 11m) - Yellowcard


OH&S Acts throughout Australia state the need for training of operators of EWPs to ensure employees and employers meet their duty of care. The Elevating Work Platform Association of Australia (inc) (EWPA) has in place a nationally recognised operator training program also known as the Yellow Card. This involves a structured training program covering safety, hazard evaluation, pre-operational checks, operation of the various types of ewps and more. It is carried out by EWPA Accredited Trainers who are all nationally accredited workplace trainers. In this unit of competency you will learn to set up, conduct routine safety checks, and operate elevated work platforms with a maximum lift height of eleven metres. You will also learn different types of elevated work platform, the Occupational Health and Safety regulations applicable to elevated work platforms, and the hazards associated with working with elevated work platforms. Machines offered: SL - Scissor Lift BL - Boom Lift and TL - Trailer Lift Sucessful participants will be issued with a Yellowcard from EWPA.
